We are planning a 240 meet for the 21st of Sep at the autocross being held at UMB bank pavilion in St. Louis. I expect this will basically be a locals kind of meet but anyone is welcome to come. If you want to race registration is between 8am and 10am, I would get there early. I have attached a few links for those not familiar with running autocross's.

For those who are not planning to race you can show up anytime but the meet times are going to be between 11:00 and 2:00. Nothing has been organized besides the meeting place so this is just a get together. We will probably go get something to eat at some point and BS! Please respond if you are planning on attending!!

Don't worry if your 240 isn't working or whatever its more about the people than the cars sometimes! There will be some 240's there to check out and some racing to watch!

Hey oberkill, I wish I could come to the meet. However, I'm at school up in Champaign and unfortunately can't make it. I think I just missed you at the last St. Louis "meet."

When is the next autocross after the 21st? Maybe I could make it to another one sometime.

Hope everything goes well though. Have fun St. Louisans!!

Man, I gotta get some different tires for these things!:)

As long as I can make my car safely stop by then I'm down. Right now one of my calipers is leaking and it wouldn't pass tech. If the car isn't working I will try to catch a ride down there with one of the other autocrossers from Mizzou.

For anyone debating on wether or not to run/watch. Race your car DAMMIT! its so incredibly fun, at such a small cost. Everyone who I have talked to who just came there to watch regretted not running.

If I do make it to this one, it will definitely be my last autocross of the season. My tires are losing too much tread to make it through the winter safely. My only other event will be rallycross on Oct 4th in Viburnum, that should be an experience:D

mixxamike - yeah too bad you cant make it. I am planning at least one more meet this upcoming month and depending on how the weather holds out we may have one more.

Rennen - Are you still 4 lug? I have a set of steelies with OK tires you can use if you want. Just let me know so I can bring them and show up a little earlier so you have them before the racing starts. I work nights so I dont get home until around 1 or so and early mornings dont work so well for me! LOL

I don't really need them, but thanks for offering:bow:, I have another set of teardrops sitting around that I can throw some snow tires on this winter if it gets bad. It'll just cut into my Azenis-fund a little more;)

BTW, is your '89 project car up and running yet, and will you be racing?

Well, I'm going to go ahead and back out. Its a combination of things, I have 2 tests and a career fair next week. I need to save my tires for the winter, and all of my brake parts still haven't come(sucks that PDM is in Canada).

Sorry about that. I was really looking forward to the autocross, and seeing your car Alan.
