Ok guys... this is a little premature as i dont have the engine yet but im going to be building an sr and the bearings are confusing me. I understand the numbers on the crank and block stuff but my question is if im getting an unmolested block and im buying a brand new crank and manley rods can i still use the numbers off the crank since its not the origanal crank. If some of the experts can chime in and give me some advice. oh and I want to have a set oil clearence for all main and rod bearings what would be the best clearence for both rod and main in a daily driven 350HP Sr that probably wont see past 8k rpm? please guys give me all the advise you got.

The numbers are for the original crank and rods. You will need to remeasure

Ok thanks man. does anyone have any advise for set oil clearences???

Follow the FSM for bearing type to use. I just use the OEM ones due to tolerance issues. If everyone looks and measures correctly per FSM, just re run the new stock per crank numbers bearings.

Thanks man. So your saying that Even though im buying a new crank i can still use the numbers on the crank and the block to distinguish which bearings to use. I really would like to make uniform clearences for all journals on the main and rods by machining the crank, rods, and mains in block. this is my first motor build so im trying to do everything right the first time. I cant stand these kids building home motors and then throwing bearings the first week running. I want a quality 350HP RESPONSIVE engine. Im deff. going GT2871r .64a/r and havent decided on tomei 260's or JWT S3 but i already know what your going to say codyace! haha oh and codyace I wanted your opinion on how much low do you really loose using a greddy intake mani. For 350HP Im not sure if I'll need it but if there isnt much diff in low end and helps me up top i think ill buy it.

Is this a new crank in general, or a new crank to the engine, or a used etc etc crank?
Regardless I'd still measure all of the tolerances per FSM, and simply follow the FSM numbering/selection scheme.

JWT S3's. You know they are best. Stock valvetrain, 8000 rpm safe, most torque and power.

It's all to user preference. To me the marginal increase in response was not worth giving up the top end. In total average power, the Greddy Manifold is king..of you want to operate at low boost, then stock manifold is awesome, but if you want a badass 350-400 whp setup, Greddy Manifold is a must. I've repeated mysetup a few times now, all use S3 JWT cams, and Greddy Manifolds, and JWT ECU.

Im buying a brand new crank from fontana nissan.Ill measure all journals but im just wonding about the numbers on the crank and block matching bearing sizes. thanks cody and ill go with the greddy mani. I dont want to run out of breath to early. lol and to the other guy yeah get a second job and go to college and use your financial aid... thats how im doing it! haha

FSM it's your best friend when it comes to engine builds.
