Looking at doing a 300zx brake conversion possibly. im not wanting to spend like 1500 dollars on brakes or anything but i am pretty much done with my sr build and i gonna need new brakes. can i just run the 300zx calipers or do i have to run the rotors as well? is there an affordable brake upgrade kit for the 240 possibly instead of the 300zx conversion

The Definitive 300ZX Brake Swap Paqe (http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap.htm)
that should help you if you go the z32 route.
you can also go the Q45 route, direct bolt on(i believe) which is cheaper.
try searching and you'll come up with some answers.

u can get rebuilt q45 calipers for 100 on here. 2 pistons instead of the stock 1 piston. aside from the 4 piston 300zx calipers. it depends on if u hav the 5lug or if u want to get the 5lug conversion. itll make the brake selection easier since both q45 and 300zx are 5lug. 300zx brakes usually need a bigger BMC if u go 300zx calipers on all 4 corners. ive heard q45s are adequate enough for some track time and daily driving.
any non-240sx calipers will need the rotors that are mates with the calipers. so q45 calipers need q45 rotors..and so on and so on. gluck with ur path!
ps..dnt forget to get some SS brake lines while ur doin all this, good upgrade. saves time in the future.
