Ok Guys let me introduce myself first...im a marine stationed in okinawa japan and see plenty of bad ass 180's and s15's rollin around...but it ot me wondering, i know people have put ls1's from the corvette in the silvia family but could you stuff a diesel engine in a silvia

just think about it...i know it would be a lot of work but i think a lot if it would be actually stuffing it in there right? i think it would be bad ass for a silvia to hae over 400hp and 500 torque...would def spank some ass.

let me know what you think guys, i wont be back to the states for a while even tho i been here two years so im plannin my car for when i get back lol...and if any body need anything shipped from japan (okinawa or mainland) i can help them out a lot

Cummins all the way, but an ISB probably weighs as much as a small Honda.

Devil Dog, you got a lot more research to do if you are even considering putting an engine THAT heavy in an S-chassis.

The 6.6 Duramax weighs over 830 lbs, and the 5.9 Cummins is over 1100 lbs, that's without the transmissions that they need as well. I know the Allison that comes with the Durmax isn't exactly a lightweight. It has been done with larger American cars (Grand National, Chevelle, and a few station wagons that I have seen), but the amount of work needed to fit that massive combo in an S-Chassis is just NOT worth it. If you're that bored in Oki, just spend more time on your XBox 360 or PS3, like everybody else.

Now, run off to the base library or at least spend some time on Google, and don't start another thread without doing the research first.

This thread is now over. :lockd:
