i just replaced my rear brake pads and now my ebrake light stays on even though it is dis-engaged. can anyone help me??

have you messed with any interior peaces lately? i messed up the sensor in direcly on the bottom of my E-brake in my interior.
just another thought

check your sensor on the actual brake..i messed with mine one day adn now it stays on when released..but its not on when im driving it will go out like if i go over a ruff spot or goin down hill...if yours does that..good chance the connection is loose...im lazy..i've yet to fix mine...oh well:rolleyes:

could it be that i only changed one side? i actually only have enough time to one side today. maybe teh uneven brake pads are causing the light to come on?

...no..that shouldnt happen..but sounds kinda dangerous..kinda..cuz it will grip b4 the rest.
the light is on because of the sensor at the base of the e brake(more then likely)

Your brake fluid is low, did you check it? I hope so.

yea check your brake fluid mine was doin the same thing and i couldnt figure out why it was on, so i popped the hood and what do ya know it was low,so check that out before you go around tearing your car apart:D
