i'm not from there and have never dealt with any in person. but i read/see ALOT of well built cars coming from touge factory and ams. their demo car (strawberry face 180) from ill garage was putting down good numbers too.
yeah, AMS is good..although you gotta book a dyno run in advance, their always busy
The Ill Garage S13.5 is a good example of what they can do
good luck in your search

all those shops plus Sound and Performance, Garage Kwai, some others i seem to dont remember i havent lived in chi-town for at least 7 years but i do go back once in a while.
AMS is my tuner. i should be in chi-town again this spring for another tune considering TF will be my new tuner and see what happens on my next tune

+1 For Sound Performance and ILL Garage
all of the shops mentioned above are good though.
Sound Performance and AMS i think charge about the most of any shop that has been suggested so far...so make sure you have deep pockets. i've gone through Sound Performance for many differant things and always had a good experience with them.

LOLZ he meant standalone, i.e. depending on which engine management you have find a tuner that specializes in that one. they are like gunsmiths. sure they can work on everything...but they each have one form of enging management they are most comfortable with.

alright, im used to mustang world, i had those junk plugnplays then i had a custom chip tuned on the dyno for it, i didnt know if there was software that was used to tune sr's that a shop would already have and could install on multiple cars
