Downshift

I recently bought a 1990 hatch with a S14 SR20DET swap in it.
Today I went to AutoZone to purchase a shiney new air filter. Before I installed the new air filter, I sprayed some CRC brand MAF sensor cleaner on the MAF sensor because I noticed it was pretty dirty and grimy.
I let the car sit for about 10 minutes, put the air filter on, tried to start it, and fail.
Everything comes on the way it should, no electrical problems, the car tries to start but all I get is the starter firing it's little heart out. I've never heard of anyone ruining a MAF sensor with sensor cleaner, but I think I may have done so.
