How important is the Oxugen sensor on the exhaust manifold? the wire got cut off from it a month or so ago, and i havn't gotten around to fix it yet. im starting to have some sputering and hesitatoiin with my car now. I also now have 3 leaky injectors i need the seals for. I think thats causeing the issues, but any ideas?

Hopefully someone else will chime in on this too but I think that sensor sends info to the ecu on how lean or rich the engine is running and then compensates. Without it I guess it kinda just makes the ECU take stabs in the dark as to how to manage the fuel.

yea thats what i heard too. the sensor sends info to the ecu about how much fuel to use and how rich or lean it should go. its really important to get that thing fixed. id fix it soon if i were u.

The injectors can be fixed by replacing the o-rings. And yes, the O2 sensor sends info the ECU, and that's probably why you're running rich and sputtering.
