Hi Guys,

Anybody know some good performance shops in the bay area?

Also, any good junk yards with 240sx s13,s14, and z32 300zx parts?

Cheers

i second that....
Don Factory carries lots of cool parts such as Ikeya Formula, Gab, Attain, Tomei, ARC, SARD, Weld, G Corp., stuff, etc...

Service is pretty top notch too, but kinda asshole-ish to people who dont know what they are talking about...

Sir, I think you are confusing DonFactory with EuroprojektzHaus.

DonFactory is a little ghetto, but their shiz works. I guess that's basically all you can ask for, right?

YEAAA. I have to admit. Don Factory is highly recommendable. If you need a S13/S14/S15/RB swap, this shop is for you. They'll annihilate the prices at A-Tuning. A-Tuning are 2 guys that are a bunch of pricks. It takes a lot of effort just to talk to them about getting a swap done. YEAAA. That's my experience. Even though I own a RE Amemiya'd out FD3S. Right On.

blacktrax. I've worked with them and they cut no corners whatsoever. They are good people (Aki and Jei).

sweet.

Thanks guys, I will check out all the recommendations. I'm looking for performance upgrades for my 93 coupe, but don't want my only options to be from the internet. Sometimes it may be better to pay extra $10 and get a product I can see before I buy.

I'm in the bay area... I would reccomend asp (auto sport performance) in daly city. They sell everything and they do good installs! Anyway where are the places you guys named? cheers-

Full Speed Performance is in Santa Cruz

Blacktrax Performance is in Milpitas

I couldn't find Don Factory, I was searching in citysearch's yellow pages.

ASP overcharges and takes too long to get sh|t done. If you just wanna buy some parts, there are a million places to go, they're on every corner and they're all about the same. It's when you wanna get a complicated install done that you have to find a quality shop. For motor swaps you can also try R Crew Racing in San Francisco. They did the wiring on my S15 swap and they did it pretty well.

DonFactory WAS located in Milpitas...but has since moved to its new location in Irvine(still working on it.) due to the lack of interest in KA tuning and the fact that a retarded ricey NA z32 kept driving by and revving at the shop.

Hey S15 Powered

How do you find these shops. I am just interested for parts. Like....what do you type into the search engines in citysearch yellow pages???

"Auto Performance", "Car performance"...???

Thanks,

NG

Well, I personally found them by living in the city and talking to people who mod their cars and stuff like that. Some of the shops around there are MachIII, Infinite Auto, and AutoTech. These are all places that can get you just about anything you want as far as parts go, but don't really know much about 240's in particular or anything like that. Places like R Crew Racing and such are good to talk to about complex stuff, but they don't do any work short of motor swaps and building race cars. The point is that if all you wanna do is buy some bolt on parts, it's tough to find someone who will spend time to educate you on the subject.

I am more than willing to educate all of our customers on anything i know about their car and/or the part they are inquiring about. That's one of the many ways you get and keep customers. :)

And admiting you don't know the answer to their question (when you don't, of course) is also important. But then you find the answer and inform them.

Santa Cruz seems not too far. What is your shops name RBS14?

Scott's Shop = Fullspeed Performance

There's also Japan Auto Parts in South City, but I don't recommend you deal with them... I avoid them like the plague.

The usual suspects have already been named - Blacktrax, don factory, etc etc etc

If all you need is parts, places are a dime a dozen... Bozz in Fremont, MachIII in frisco (like 3 blocks from city), a whole bunch of little places in the richmond/sunset that i forget, blah blah blah

:P
