Guys I just did a resistance check on my TPS on my SR using the S14 SR20DET FSM (harness unlugged, resistance check on pin B and C on 3 pin type TPS while manually turning throttle).

Per the FSM, resistance should be around 0.7 K ohms when released and 5 K ohms when thottle is depressed with range of 0.7 to 5 K ohms when halfway.

What I got was 4.8 K ohms released and 0.68 K ohm when depressed. Completely opposite to the FSM.

Is my TPS toast or is the FSM wrong?

Your readings are correct either you misread the manual or it's a typo. Think about it, the impedance has to be higher when the throttle is closed to keep the voltage low around .45v and the lower impedance when the throttle is open allows more voltage to flow giving you close to 5v

That makes sense to me. In any case that tells me my TPS is good for both the voltage and resistance check. Thanks!
