Tonight i decided to climb under my car to find the can of bumble bees the previous owner put under this car. its a stainless steel muffler with a tag on it that says Jasma and then some japanese writing. is this a good muffler, or should i upgrade? thanks for any info.

Jasma just means that is a legal exhaust in Japan. (dont think it counts for U.S. not sure though) My exhaust for my Skyline also had Jasma stamped in it and I asked a Japanese tuner if it was a good exhaust while I was there. He thought it was rather amusing.... LOL

Yeah...from everything I've read and heard, Jasma is pretty much like DOT here. If the equpiment has been Jasma certified, then it is street legal in Japan...

JASMA stands for Japanese Automotive Sports Muffler Association. Anything that has to do with exhaust equipment has to meet their standards first. Just like DOT approval.
