Hey there, sorry to bother you guys but I was looking to repeal a neg. rep that was given to me for no reason.
A few days ago I went to pick up lug nuts from Drift_86 (http://zilvia.net/f/members/drift_86.html). After a 30-45min drive I finally got to his place and he told me that the lug nuts were the wrong size. I was obviously a little ticked and annoyed that I had wasted my time, energy, and effort to drive all the way over to find out that the seller had the wrong item.
I felt that it was wrong on his behalf for not checking beforehand and making sure that what he sold fit the description of what was posted. Therefore, since I was a "buyer" I gave him neg. rep and in response to that, he let his emotions get the better of him and decided to leave visitor messages indicating I was a "jerk" for "ruining his score"...etc. & now he has the audacity to give me a neg. rep which I clearly don't deserve as I did nothing wrong.
If this undeserved and unjustifiable rating can please be cleared it would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I saw you try to report him before you post this thread, so now I will respond...

What I am seeing here is that he – instead of taking your money – neglected to take your money, which would have created an even worse problem.
That said, you never actually “bought” anything from him, yet you left him feedback as if you did. In all fairness, you can argue that your feedback was left based upon a negative experience and that you feel that this would justify your feedback.
HOWEVER
He could employ the same justification to his own negative experience, despite having at least saved you the hassle of selling you the wrong thing and you STILL getting angry about it. I could approach this one of two ways.

I do nothing, since your justification of negative feedback very easily matches what his could be.

I delete BOTH of your feedbacks, since no one bought or sold anything to or from anyone and therefore shouldn't be using the thing for your situation.
BUT...
If I do that, there should be some punitive action taken, given that the both of you abused the system, treating trader rating like it was some kind of user reputation system, throwing it around vindictively and all.
A fair punishment would be deletion of ALL trader ratings of anyone who I catch doing such a thing.

I will make this easy on all parties involved and leave it as it is with a warning not to get caught doing this again.

Report him? I never attempted to do such a thing.
After giving it a little thought, I must admit that I did "misuse" the system.
I didn't do it intentionally but I do apologize.

Since we've only accumulated 3/4 feedbacks, we were able to come to the agreement that we would like both of our ratings cleared. We would like to start with a blank slate and give you our word that an event like this will never happen again.
Thanks again for your time.

Bumpppp!
I hate to bug but I'm still waiting on a response.
I received a pm saying that I got a itrader rating recently but my rating is still the same.

Oh, the final answer was to leave the negative marks there as a reminder not to do it again, I thought I said that.

I've already mentioned that it was an honest mistake and said it wouldn't happen again. If you think that the only way we'll learn is by leaving the scores they way they are than so be it but you did say that

A fair punishment would be deletion of ALL trader ratings of anyone who I catch doing such a thing.

I received yesterday a itrader rating yesterday but it had no effect on my overall score and I can't view the feedback. In addition to that, I only have a trader rating of 1 even though I was given 3 feedbacks including the negative.

Yes, I said that in the part where I described what I COULD do about it, but you missed the important part; the one where I said what I WOULD do…

I will make this easy on all parties involved and leave it as it is with a warning not to get caught doing this again.

I said from the outset that I was leaving it. I can look into why any subsequent marks are not showing in your total, but I am not removing the one that started this mess.

Fine, I can deal with that.
However, I'd appreciate if you really look into my whole itrader mess.

Two positives, one negative.

2 to the good minus the 1 equals 1

2 out of 3 is 67%, rounded up... Your score is right.

Oh, I thought the trader rating was the total number of feedbacks received; my mistake.
But I was given a pm with a itrader notification from a recent sale and there was no effect on my score. Can you give me a reason to why that is?
