twin plate hitting clutch fork help

im trying to get my rb20 trany to bolt all the way down to my 25 block and at first i thought it was the bearing which it was, and had to get the orc bearing, but now it seems to be hitting on the clutch fork because it sits to tall, does anyone know of shorter pivot balls or something, im completely stuck and am out of ideas

post pictures. some clutches require a different clutch fork. my nismo twin plate for sr has it's own clutch fork, release bearing, etc...

install the release bearing correctly? there should be no way for the fork to hit the pressure plate like that with the release bearing installed.

alright i will, but i have even tried to install tranny without fork and bearing and it still wont seat down because i believe it is hitting those 2 spots, i will know in the morning for sure when i take off the tranny cover

well if the transmission won't mate to the engine, even w/o the release bearing and fork, then you have another issue. Are you sure the clutch is properly aligned? usually when you stab these transmissions you have to rotate them to get it to slide into properly.

100 percent positive because it seated down all the way before the clutch was bolted up and now it goes all the way until about a forth of an inch then it stops on the pivot ball, it has to be the pivot ball that's too tall, and I have no idea why

Typically clutches like this require a "movement alteration kit"
ORC / OS Giken / etc ... Most of the big daddy twin / triple disc plate clutches
and so on

i was also thinking that maybe a hydraulic throwout bearing might fix my problem

Don't you need a TO bearing in between?
also OS needs its own TO bearing as well....

Just a thought but, maybe the twin plate doesn't work with the RB20 Trans?

Pretty sure anyone making enough power to need/use a Twin plate on an RB25 wouldn't be using an RB20 Trans.

yeah i hope thats the reason, im guna bite the bullet and buy a 25 trans, i was guna use the 20 because thats what came with my engine, and id probably just be ruining a perfectly good 20 trans if i push some decent numbers

well i bought an rb25 tranny and am still having the same exact problem...wtf the picture above is the rb25 pivot ball and the picture below is the rb20 pivot ball in the rb25 tranny

they are both stock ones, first pic is stock 25 pivot on 25 tranny and second pic is stock 20 pivot on 25 tranny

i have a 2.5 on my s13 with a 2.0 tranny mated and they glide in just fine without any clearance issues...
theres two types of clutches pull and push type...from the picture looks like a pull type which is correct for rb25 unless its a r34 rbneo tranny it would be a push type...but it looks like ur fork is kinda short...causing it to hit....maybe try joining a rb forum and they can help you with your problem .....
