I got this intake manifold from a seller on NICO and I just received it today and I was hoping you guys can try to verify/point-out if it could possibly be a "freddy" intake or not..

Castings are pretty uniform all over the manifold but the IACV hole has some jagged edges and I don't want to have paid what I paid for a knock-off.. (would've been a good deal for a genuine).

The seller has the emblem but apparently he stuck it on his wall and it wont come off, so he can't send the emblem to me.
I didn't get any of the hardware beside the things shown in the pictures because he put it in a baggy with the intake manifold but when I received it, the box had a hole on the bottom which I believe it fell out of.

If you guys can point out some stuff verifying it's real or fake, that'd be most helpful..
thanks

Yeah, you're going to need a die-hard Greddy fan to pick that one out.

But to me, it looks legit. I just looked at about a dozen of each the real and fake. I don't see one fake one that has some of the mounting points machined like that. They are mostly left as-cast on the fakes. Yours looks real to me. But then again, what do I know..

Still looking eh?

Looks cleaner than most I've seen. I would lean towards real but I haven't had a chance to see the newer fake ones...

Ya man still looking..
lots of opinions and I can't seem to get a straight answer.. I don't want to have paid $400 for a knock off IM alone, but that price or an authentic isn't bad at all..

If it is fake, then it is an extremely well manufactured fake, worth about 400 bucks. But, I think it is real.

Looks real to me. All FReddy manis I've seen have had some ROUGH castings. Like a few porous holes and uneven surface finish.

That is a real one. It looked just like the one that used to be on my RB25 car, right down to the extra little blue nipple cover. Tell me who did you buy this from.

My old car was stolen from a shop in Irwindale shortly after I sold it. It turned up stripped to the bone 2 days later and that manifold looks exactly like mine. In fact that blue nipple cover was on mine.

Got it from a guy in FL.
I dunno if that could be yours or not?

who knows. whoever stole it could have easily sold it. At this point in time It is not provable and more something that just makes me wonder everytime I see RB parts for sale, especially people selling HKS GT2530 turbo's. I would say its definitely the Greddy.

take the gasket and see how well it lines up usually the fake ones dont line up as good as the real one.

Looks exactly like mine, the ports look nice and smooth. I'd lean towards legit GReddy and i would also have the guy you bought it from replaced the "missing" hardware. IF there was a hole in the box, thats not your fault since you didn't pack it.
