sup everyone. this weekend im going to fix a couple of rust spots on my 95. cut, sand, primer paint etc... i want to check out the rest of the car as well. i did a couple of searches on where rust develops easily on the s14 and didn't come up with much. has anyone dealth with rust on their s14 before? where does it usually pop up? fyi my car has no spoiler and no kit, so no worries there. thanks in advance. :bow:

I think one spot is the battery tray.

hmmm... maybe I should take a weekend and check out my car. I am not aware of any common rust issue's on our cars. I do know for some reason I get a little bit of water build up in my passenger side rear bumper splash gaurd. When I undo the lower screw for the splash gaurd, water runs out. Not sure if it's from the bumper retaining water or not. :confused:

definitely a good idea. our cars aren't as old as the s13s but they are gettin there. when u say splash guards im assuming you mean those mud flap guard things by the wheel well, right? i heard those are a popular place for gunk and water to build up on ANY car... hence rust. i removed mine. i just check and clean under there periodically, esp after its rained. definitely check out ur car! from ur sig its 95/96... thats 9/8 years old! lots of time to grow rust, and rust is death to a car ;_;

if it's a new england car then you might wanna take a good look under the car.
I just did a bunch of rust treatments on my car. I had to neutralize the rust, cover it with POR-15, and then topcoat it. But some of the common spots are:
1, look under the hood, where the driver's side strut tower is follow it down to where the body meets the frame rail. Nissan ****ed up there, the seems catches a lot of water.
2, right near the jack supports they tend to get a lil nasty.
My suggestion to you is just look underneath the car and treat as much of it as possible.

thanks for the info :bow: i live by NYC so it's not as bad as NE, but it's definitely bad enough. guess i'll have to invest in some jackstands. thanks again.
