Hey, in the spring it'll be time for me to flush all my fluids, and refill everything with nice clean fluids. The only problem I have, is that I have no idea what I should use... It's an S14 that will be daily driven, streeted, and occasionally taken to the track. I was wondering what fluids everyone would recommend?

Coolant:
Brake:
Power steering:
Clutch:
Welded Diff:

And maybe oils? I use 5w30 Castrol GTX, maybe there's something better out there for a stock KA with 160k miles?

Thanks everyone.

I'm using Amsoil for my engine and I love it, it's a bit pricey though. Before using Amsoil I used Castrol Syntec which I liked aswell. Used 10w-30 for both.
For my transmission I'm using some Pennzoil stuff, I used Redline and wasn't too happy with it.
And for my diff I'm using Mobil 1 I think, it was whatever Autozone had in stock.
As for the brakes I just use whatever I find at the stores, since I don't track it I don't boil my brake fluid so it doesn't matter.

And this is all on my DD KA-T.

I'd run a thicker oil for your KA, because of the mileage.

Honestly I would just go with regular castrol 10-40 but if you wanna be a baller look into this stuff called Pentosin. Us here at the mercedes shop are secretly starting to substitute it for mobile 1. In my world mobile 1 is cheap shit. Pentosin makes mobile 1 look like cheap gas station oil. Heres my list of the good stuff:
1.Pentosin Pento high performance
2.Lubromoly synthoil hightech
3.Motul 800
4.Mobil 1 (last resort)

Yeah, I was thinking of using something thicker too, cus it kind of seems like I'm leaking a tiny bit.

I'm just not sure on the fluids for everything else. I heard somewhere to use thick, cheap whatever kind of fluid for a welded diff, I'm just not sure if that's true or not.

my buddy uses redline 75-140 in his welded and many people swear by amsoil gl4 for tranny. Just search on this forum.

Bumping this thread back up...

I'm flushing my coolant soon, and I need to know what I should refill it with? The car is dailied, and tracked occasionally. Also driven pretty hard on the street. Thanks for any input.

Also, I have no idea what to use for my clutch... Anyone wanna chime in?

And should I use ATF for power steering? I heard even though the FSM says to use Dexron ATF, it's actually bad for the rack & pinion.
