rb20 tranny issue

i just got this car about 2 weeks ago and had a slight 2nd gear grind only when getting on it hard. well today on the way home i noticed going into 2nd normally it grinds a tad bit but if i shift slow like a grandpa it wont grind. Ive noticed these transmissions have a 2nd gear issue from what ive seen/heard. Do youll think by changing the tranny fluid it may help and if so what fluid to use and how much. Or is there a place that sells these transmissions used. i know its prob hard to find a place to rebuild these or to even get one that is already rebuilt. Any input helps me out alot. Im a newb to nissans

You can try...get some AMSOIL MT-4 Tranny fluid, you'd need 3 qts, and see if that helps. If not, you'd probably be better off picking up another used tranny. You can use a KA24 transmission, same tranny, just different bellhousing. Hell, you can even make the KA bellhousing to work with some slight modification.
