Finally, finished my rebuild which consisted of:
Timing chain
Cams
Oem piston rings
Oil rings
Rod bearings
main bearings
resurface head
arp head studs
forged pistons
head gasket
cylinders honed

All was lubed, torqued down, and assembled

Had a question about the tranny, i have the engine on a hoist, do i just slide the tranny into it? Does it have to be in a specific gear? Neautral/1st?

I have a stage 3 clutch and a stock flywheel i beleive.

This is my first time actually swapping the engine, i was wondering if their are any precise guides out their? I've located a few, but it just states the overall steps..

When i bolt on the tranny and torque it down, does the shifter need to come off, or will it go in? I mean i took this sr20det out, but 1st time puttin' one in.

Also how hard is it to turn the crank with these fresh parts in? Any examples?

Anyone have any comments reguarding all this?

Pics will be up soon, so i can smile at success.

tranny will slip right in , just make sure its aligned with the spline and you should have no trouble. it dosent matter what gear, just keep it in neutral.

when your putting the engine in take the shifter out , makes life a hell of alot easier.

putting an engine in a car just takes some common sense man , use it.
one tip , put the motor mounts on the engine first rather then the cross memeber and just creep it in the engine bay till the mounts slip through the holes on the cross member.

good luck man.
