View Full Version : seized wheel hubs
hey I am doing a 5 lug conversion right now and im stuck. I removed all 4 of the bolts that holds the rear wheel hubs and still can't get the darn hub off. I tried hitting it with a hammer, i tried wd-40, i even took the cv joint out of the hub so i can bang my hammer on the back side of the hub. that thing is STUCK, any advice?

you have to absolutely beat the shit out of them to get them off. (in my experience).

May sound dumb, but you didn't mention doing it. Did you remove the axle nuts?

Go to autozone and rent a slide hammer and something that looks like this. Just the silver part. Put the silver part on the studs of the hub, screw on the slide hammer and keep trying til it comes off.

had the same issue when doing Z32 upgrade. use some penetrating oil let it sit for a while, screw all 4 bolts back in (not all the way and hammer the 4 bolt evenly) it will slowly slide out.
