Dash lights flash when wipers on??

heres my problem i have 95 s14 with a ka24de-t i just built my motor and put it back together and with key off the oil light and battery light aire faintly on. BUT, if i unpulg my wiper motor they go off. and with the wipers connected only the last 2 speeds work and the dash light flash only the brake,oil,battery lights flash with the motion of my wipers.

I HAVE ALL MY ENGINE GROUNDS HOOKED UP AND I HAVE ALSO ADDED 2 MORE GROUNDS TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HELP MY PROBLEM.

any ideas would be great. also, i did search this problem and found nothing helpful.

Check your wires that run through the driver side fender. I had the same issue when I was low to the floor and rubbed through the wire harness.

Check for bare, grounding or open wires within the fender, any passage through metal such as firewall and recheck any wiring that had been changed, swapped or added. Also, triple check the power and ground wires from the alternator.

ya thanks for the ideas no bad wires but i did check the voltage on the battery with the car running and my altenator was not charging so i ordered a new one today we'll see what happens.

If changing out the alternator doesn't fix the issue try taking a look at your charge indicator light in your cluster.

ok so i bought a new altenator and nothing. new altenator is not charging either. i ave check all the fuses over ond over plus all the fuseable links everything check checks out good. what do you mean by the indicator? please more description thanks.

Charge indicator light is just a simple bulb that tells you if your alternator is getting its charge. Its located in your gauge cluster. Sometimes it doesn't go off when its suppose too.

ok so i got it tocharge finally. the pilot wire to the altenator went out si i rplaced it with a new one. BUT lights still flash when wipers on lol.

ok, sooo my battery and oil light come on with the wiper motor pluged in and car is off once i start the car lights go out.... but if i unplug the wiper motor they stay off. is that saying the wiper motor is bad or the amplifey box maybe?

I have the same problem.
Car starts off rough. Once on I go to put it in gear to move. A second after all my dash lights dim and my wiper blades go all crazy without me touching them. Also my stereo starts to turn on and off.
Another thing I notice was that when I press the brakes my dash and clock lights all dimm out.

Checked the batt if it was good. I'm working on the alternator right now any advice?
