Okay, enough is enough and I need help.

So the other day i decided to change my tps because i was tired of sputtering sometimes durring acceleration. I didnt o any research on replacing it, though i could just unplug it and change it out just like a MAF. Wrong!!!! So after I put everything back together with the newer tps( from an auto 96 obd1 ) it wouldnt stay on could not idle. Then come to notice i had a slit in my intake piece. I taped that off and put back the old tps ....and it ran fine but idled at 1100 and at traffic lights would rev up and then rev down. At one point i had to keep the a/c so it could idle somewhat right and feel good. Then this past weekend...i decided maybe it was doing that ruff idle cuz of the slit. so i went back to the (96 obd1 tps) .....and it left me with hardly an idle...so then went back to the orginal tps this morning and now i have to keep my foot on the gas so it can stay on. it sounds horrible. drives horrible. Somebody please help me please......

Did you set the TPS to the proper voltage? Did you check the first one with a volt Meter to verify if it was bad? Look up how to set it.

Are you gettting a Check Engine Light on your dash?? If so, put your ECU into Diagnostic Mode & see what code the ECU is kicking out. It will help you to troubleshoot your problem. Use the SEARCH function here on Zilvia to find a FSM, (Factory Service Manual), for your model year.

Chances are your problem with your bad idle may be due to a vacuum leak somewhere after the MAF sensor. Since you said you had a slit in your plastic intake, you may want to take it off and re-inspect it again to make sure you didn't miss any other cuts or tears. Seal those holes up with black electrical tape or replace the plastic intake tube. Best to replace the intake tube with an aftermarket Injen intake or a GOOD working plastic intake. Remember, if you use tape to fix it, that is only a TEMPORARY fix...eventually the tape will come off. Best to just fix it right the first time & not hassle with it. Also check your vacuum lines to make sure none are cut/torn or connected to the wrong line. That sometimes happens when you pull the intake tube off.

As for your TPS, I couldn't tell you if Nissan used the same one for 1995 thru 1998 Manual Transmissions or Automatics, so I couldn't tell you if the parts are interchangeable. What ARE OBD I / OBD II are your Oxygen Sensors. Nissan used three versions in the S14 model years. OBD I is a one-wire 02 Sensor, (from March 94 thru Sometime 95). Sometime between 7/95 or 7/96, (I think), Nissan switched from one wire O2 sensor to three wire O2 sensor. After 7/96 Nissan went to I believe a four wire O2 sensor. The three wire & four wire O2 sensors were for the heating element in the O2 sensor - the heating element was used for reducing smog in the emissions. Anyhow, recheck your intake piping for air leaks. That's probably the reason why your S14 is running like a tank. Let us know what you find....
