SR really loud

I'm new to the while SR scene and my car is crazy loud. My dad can hear me coming from about a mile away. Is this normal with all SR's or is there something wrong. Also what are some ways that I could make the car a little quieter?

Run a Buddy Club Spec 2 Exhaust if your a real man....if you want a pussy exhaust run the stock exhaust.

I just have a 3inch straight pipe, and it's not that loud, not in the car anyways. It's kinda loud outside the car, but I don't think it's too bad.

If it's too loud for you get a high flow cat or a different exhaust system, as others have said.

i do get hassled quite a bit, but fortunately i have a CHP sticker on my license, so i get away with a lot. my car should of been impounded many times.

if you want to cut down on the noise you are making start by losing the straight pipe and putting a cat back in it.

I drove my sr around blasting out of the downpipe for quite a while though so I don't really see what the big deal is. I run a cat with my apexi now and my family can still hear me coming from a mile away... literally.
