how do i push the piston in the rear brakes on a s13? im having trouble bolting up the pad bracket holder thing... pm plz thanks for helping

they dont push in, you gotta twist the piston in

yeah they twist and push in.... either using needle nose pliers or go to napa or o'reilly to get a square thing that turns pistons on breaks.

or autozone and rent the tool that way you can return it and get your $$ when you're done

Needle nose pliers if you're doing your rear brakes at 3 am, or just go get the tool at Kragen's or Napa.

You can also use the tool that comes with most angle grinders- the handle with two poles to tighten the grinding wheel onto the grinder. Thats what I use, works like a charm.

If you turn it and it doesnt seem to be going in, put a little pressure on it. Ive sat there and turned the piston forever making no progress. Use a clamp to push on it while you turn, and it should start to go in. Maybe hit the boot with some PB so the rubber doesnt rip as well. And make sure you relube the slide pins generously with anti-seize.
