View Full Version : Discouraging Dyno Day

After spending 3 hours(!) on the dyno my car squeezed out 225 at 5 psi.

It only runs in open loop, strangley, and I have a setup good for 10-12psi. Alas, there was no time(and not solid enough intercooler connections due to the lack of lip), and I think I thouroughly frustrated the guys at R&D with my car.

Poop.

:(

When I get more money I'll bring it back and turn up the boost to where its supposed to be.

225 at 5psi sounds pretty good though...

thats what I was thinking.. pretty good numbers so far..

you'll get it figured out, and turn some nice numbers once you turn the boost up.

Just think of all of us dorks still running ~130rwhp on our stock KAs... that should make you feel better. I'd kill for 225hp... that sounds about right for 5psi anyway, so don't be upset.

it just impresses me how much power the ka can make under low boost. besides you haven't tune the car yet and I am sure you will figure that out. have fun with your setup.

Yah the i/c pipes just need lips now.

I'm just depressed because the amount spent doesn't equal the psi achieved just yet......
:hammer:

225 was when it was running well and honed in. Right now its still piggy rich at 190-200.
