Hey Guys,

Well I am sick of those lines blowing, so I went into it with a digital caliper and going to replace almost all the lines under the manifold with silicone ones... S13 Redtop SR20DET

So here is all the hoses.... Fucking one cracked and engine never heated up, so ran dry for a little bit...Pretty pissed hopefully the engine is still ok....

From BakerPrecision.com:

HPS Silicone 1FootTube HTST-075-BLK $15.55 ea. 1 $15.55
(3/4" x 5.75")

HPS Silicone 90 deg hose HTSEC90-032-BLK $11.77 ea. 3 $35.31
(5/16" x 2.5")

HPS Silicone 90 deg hose HTSEC90-062-BLK $16.01 ea. 1 $16.01
(5/8" x 4")

HPS Silicone Coupler HTSC-100-BLK $5.74 ea. 1 $5.74
(1" x 2.75")

Also a 10FT roll of AN -5 or 5/16 steel braided line, will cover the rest!

That is it... It should replace most of the hi-pressure stuff....

Do yourself a favor and get ABA clamps, which doesn't cut into the pipes.....

ABA Hose Clamp 12020 $2.45 ea. 2 $4.90 change qty
then click

ABA Hose Clamp 12024 $2.45 ea. 2 $4.90 change qty
then click

ABA Hose Clamp 12032 $2.50 ea. 2 $5.00 change qty

O Reilly only has the 2 mains, not sure if they have the 90's.... anyways, yeah.... I track my car a lot so silicon is my only way...

Nice! Thanks for the info. I'm about to do all the hoses on my S13 blacktop. Hopefully they are the same.

Yeah I hate the normal onest hat come from o'reillys or whatever.... The crack sooner or later cause there is a lot of corosion.... I just removed the whole intake which only took like 1.5 hours or something, easy as pie....

Then just have at it.... I made the mistake of changing one and not the other and then the other broke, so stupid of me

I'll be taking my intake off this winter to prep it for a larger throttle body...I may go ahead and change them as well...then again, I've not had leaks...

blahh....I know if I don't I'll kick myself later if one leaks.

i did the same thing changed one then the others cracked, got tired of taking the intake manifold off because it consist of quite a few nuts and bolts so just upgraded to a aftermarket intake mani so i can get to the hoses better if it happens again. btw is there a was to modify the heater hoses to work instead of having to wrap them back around from the right side to the left (s13 Blacktop sr)? need heat for the winter

Yeah there is... I believe it was on another car forum. Basically you cut part of the metal tube right before it wraps behind the head... Then you need to make a bubble flare to make it fit so it doesn't leak. I think Snapon makes like a 30 dollar hand tool for that...

I wish somebody can make a kit for these hoses.

In that link above, don't worry about the hose leaking if you don't have a bead around the metal pipe after its cut. I've run my car like that for over a year and track days and its yet to leak. Instead of going through all the trouble of trying to put a bead around the pipe, I would just use two ABA hose clamps.

Wait what??? I just gave you part numbers at baker precision for ALL the hoses under the intake manifold. These are silicon hoses... come on now.... It won't get easier than that.... I'll have pictures of the install Monday...

Oh god I remember when I had to replace these hoses a year or so ago, was not fun. If I ever have to do it again I'll be going to silicone route for sure.

edit: Damn I just looked at my engine, apparently when I did my SR swap I did the heater hoses wrong, would explain why my heat doesn't work... Looks like I need to switch them around...

How about this hose ?http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/S13-SR20DET-180SX-silicone-heater-hose-kit-RED-/290495480816?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a2e143f0
Is this complete?

It doesn't look like it to me. From what I remember it definitely requires 2 90* 5/16 hoses which I don't see there... I think those include "other" hoses not as well...

just wondering would I need all of these because I am running s14 water inlet so I don't have the coolant hose going behind the engine for the turbo, maybe if you have a picture?

These lines are the coolant adapter lines to the throttle body, thermostat neck, to the intake manifold like the idle sensor and etc.... Doesn't have anything to do with the waterneck stuff... I can take a pic when I get home. My engine is still apart.

It is the lines under the manifold as in this photo, its those rubber hoses at on the bottom of the image. He doesn't have the rest of them, cause he has a greddy manifold.
