s15 conversion

Hey guys! Just a quick question. I was wondering what all is neccessary when doing the s15 front end conversion. First of all, the core support; where can I buy that seperately? I have everything else I need...the hood, fenders, and front bumper. I had heard that someone just cut down their core support from their s13 and made it work without buying one....is that at all possible with the s14? Just wondering...also, one more question....the hood hinges....are they the same? Please fill me in on these questions and also anything else I'm missing out on...thanks in advance!!

look, you guys.....i was simply being polite and asking a question....i have looked on tons of search engines just so you know, "bud"....It's a wonder anyone ever posts up here....you guys always have something smart to say about everything...so thanks for all the help you didn't give!!!!

Dude, did it ever occur to you that we are a bit tired of the ever so popular question of, "How do I go about a silvia conversion",is asked? This site has been up for a while, I mean look at the member count. You would have to figure that the question has been popped plenty. If you use the search engine, you will find what you are looking for.

if u used a lot of different search engines..u would of found ur answer already.

yes htere have been people who used the stock s13 core. or cut off the s13 core and welded on a s14 core and use that instead. use s15 hinges or buy s15 ones can be found at jspec.

use the serach engine.

In an ideal world I'd agree with you James, but Zilvia is FAR from ideal... the only way things like this will get solved w/o someone's feelings getting hurt is if a mod sez, "please use the search tool" and closes the thread. There will ALWAYS be people asking things that have been beating to death, just as there will always be people who will flame them for doing so. It's just reality.

First of all, give the following link a thorough reading. The information is pretty comprehensive.

If you are putting the s15 conversion on an s14 you can keep the stock core support, but you'd need to do some cutting so that the s15 headlights will clear. The hood hinges are the same for the s14 to s15 conversion.

you obviously didn't search any online retailers or call anyone or email them. asking the people who sell such kits seems like a logical move to me, but i guess you could ask a bunch of anonymous people on a bbs, most of whom prolly have no real idea.

i didnt care much for the silvia conversion but for some wierd reason the amount of times its posted in like 1 week, i learned everything about it.. go figure...

search is like your friend... if you dont go to it for advice, then your relationship wont get anywhere...

I think its kinda strange that ive been looking for 2 hours for the answer to the simple question of "where can i get a GOOD set of fiberglass fenders" and all my serch results come up with is the answer "search tool" thats great so ive been "search tool"ing to find out that i need to use the search tool. oh well i guess ill find out the answer eventually! thanks for all the "use the search tool" advice it helped!

This brings up a great point, and as odd as it feels saying this, I agree with James. Seriously, if you search for alot of these topics, your going to find "use the Seach" for the first 20+ results.

Fiberglass fenders - Im not sure of the material, but you can check out BN-Sport, they have some fab. fenders...:ghey: <-- Any time I say fab. that has to be there
