Manifold looks great. But seeing as how you are making a twin scroll manifold, obviously your reasoning for that is to decrease lag time, so why not try and make the intercooler piping as short as possible as well. All that beautiful craftsmanship went into the manifold, but has what looks like a store bought intercooler. It's pretty easy in an s14 to flip that thing upside down and make custom tubing around the radiator.
Just throwin my 2 cents out there.

I can't argue his logic, Seems pretty sound. All the effort put into making a nice manifold... You should continue the trend through the intercooler plumbing as well, Great looking build and some really clean quality parts.

I agree with you but the intercooler was custom fitted for my car and was made pretty short

i am doing a backdoor intercooler aswell.everything looks amazing man, truly first class.i really wish you would have gone with a t4 variant/setup because ive been messin with twinscroll for about 4-5 years.im always researching dynos and setups.it has led me to believe that typically the t3,eben with a 1.06 hotside,is usually going to choke out uptop due to the housing being too small.allbeit,it will still make good power, its just that your using a 2.4 with a big turbo, which would cause it to choke sooner...love what youve done so far!!!!

i am going to see what happens this winter but i think i am going with a t4 turbo and might have to chop off the t3 flange off the mani :)

Manifold looks good, but is there any benefit running a twin scroll manifold over a regular one?

should spool much quicker than a regular manifold

the manifold is divided like you see the flange..so cyl 1&4 and 2&3, each have their own bank so to speak..rather than all 4 cyl cramming exhaust into one area. I hope i kind of answered your question. So like living4surf said, theoretically it will spool much quicker with this setup.

You need to get a turbo blanket and a heat shield for that BMC... Just sayin...

I know what twin scroll is, I've worked with a few myself. The most important part of twin scroll is the turbo itself with the divided housing. The "proper" setups I've worked on have the split manifold, with a twin scroll turbo and two seperate wastegates, and they do work but they aren't necessarily worth the extra work and money required.
I can't see the point in running it with a standard housing turbo, but feel free to prove me otherwise

Point is very simple. Build a twin scroll manifold so when i buy a twin scroll turbo its already set up. The t67 was a turbo I got for short money eventually I am buying a precision billet with the divided housing.
Where it stands right now yes your right the setup doesnt yeild any benefit. But down the road it will.

Started to knock. Third gear syncro is garbage and my clutch cant hold anything. Needless to say i am looking for a z32 tranny with adapter kit. Or a way to mount this for less then 1k.
Thanks
