So, I've been checking out diffs lately and the OS Giken Super Lock clutch-type diff seems to be the best on the market at the moment. It's pricey, but it gets high praise in pretty much every review I've checked out.

Supposedly, it's supposed to feel pretty similar to the factory open diff during normal slow speed turning (like parking or turning from a red light)....... no loud clunking or popping noises... but at the same time it's capable of locking 100% with enough throttle. So, basically, it has excellent performance, but can still be used on a daily driver without being annoying.

They're also supposed to be nearly indestructable.

Any of you guys here have one? What are your thoughts?

I have a 1.5 way one. I bought it used and its by far the best diff I've ever had. Super quiet and almost completely clunk free. It locks smoothly and awesomely as well. I highly recommend it.

Lucky! I've been trying to find an S14 one used and haven't seen any. Would definitely be nice to knock a bit off that $1300-$1400 price. haha

Anyone have experience with the OS Giken diff and a Carbonetic carbon-clutched diff?

I've heard really good things about OS products. I was looking into getting an OS diff as well especially after talking to Taka who runs their products on his Corolla. He said their diffs are built to last. You won't have to replace it. Spending the extra money I feel is worth it, given the situation that I'm in. I have a Nismo 2 way that needs to be rebuilt. I spent some where around $750 for it brand new. I can't find anyone to rebuild it because no one can seem to get the rebuild kit for me. Assuming I were to find someone to rebuild it, or even if buy another one, that would put me in close range of what the OS would cost. (Just me personally, I don't like buying used parts, this is going off the assumption that I would purchase a brand new diff.) Happy shopping. :)

If you're being sarcastic, you should do some research on it. According to a ton of people this thing has more advanced technology and higher quality manufacturing than pretty much any other clutch-type LSD available right now.

That's a damn good price. I'd buy it without any hesitation for that kind of price.
