This is on an S15 SR...so I was out drifting today, pulled back to the paddock and I got smoke puffing from under my car. At first I thought maybe I got a small hole in one of the waterlines and its steaming. Turns out its coming out of my catch can. Basically, smoke is coming out of the crank case vent/neck. Its white steamy smoke, no oil coming but its definitely getting pressurized since its puffing. The weird thing is I have no smoke coming out of my exhaust. Its strong enough that when I sit at a light, people look at me like my car is on fire. Dont think its a headgasket since the car didnt even overheat...drove it home for an hour and temp didnt even get up pass 70.

The biggest thing I dont get is why is it white? Figured if its blowby from the rings, itll be blue/dark colored. There's no oil residue coming out of the crankcase, just white steam.

I'm planning on doing a compression check on it, maybe even a leak down if I can get one. Figured I'll drop the oil pan this weekend to check if I have chocolate milk for oil...

How is your catch can connected?

PCV valve is not connected to the the intake. Crank case line connected to the head, 2nd port on the valve cover is routed to the catch can with the line out of the PCV valve T-off with it. The exit port off the catch can is just vented open.

Well its official...Blown piston rings on #2 as I suspected.

Did a compression check, #1 155, #2 110, #3 165, #4 165...dropped a cap full of oil in #2 and compression went up to 160.
