Me and my girlfriend just picked up a pretty low mileage 240sx coupe that is in transit here to Wisconsin. I'll have pics up of it on thursday.

just wondering what is some of the lowest mileage s13/s14's that are still out there?

i know there was a 1997? or 1998 Green Kouki that just sold with like 30K miles. and there is a built S13 hatch with like 30-40K? i think CrimsonRockett has had 2 sub 50K mile cars.

what's left out there?

its easy to dial back the odo. Jst gotta have steady hands not to break the pins the numbers are lined up in.

Only way to find out how old the car really is, is by its shape.

Ive seen on CL a S13 with supposedly 70K miles and the seats are beat, dashboard cracked, engine bay doesnt look like its 70K miles. know what i mean.

I guess it really just depends who you buy it from. It could be some really old guy who took care of it since day 1. or some punk off the streets who did what i stated.

I bought my 1990 240SX SE Hatch about a year and a half ago with 67k it hadn't been driven in 15 years. Thanks to the old lady I got it from.

I've seen on AutoTrade a couple 15k-25k S13's for like $8000.

With cars this old mileage shoudnt matter. Its all about condition. Some one raped my 14 for 22 miles before I found her. Lol

My project S13:

I've only seen one or two lower mileage S13's. A few lower mileage S14's. Mileage doesn't really matter (as mentioned above). What matters is how well they took care of the car.

Found an S13 on craigslist not too long ago with 70k original miles and it was BEAT to all hell. Then again, I've found S13's with 200k+ miles looking better than my car at 40k, lol.

I bought my 1998 with 70k in 2004...I just hit 117k. Still in mint condition. Only crappy things are my taillights are gray and the wiper cowl. I have the black plastic dye now and some fine masking tape....need a clear weekend to tackle it.

my second s13/HB/AT was owned by an old lawyer, which lives in Israel during 10/15years.

A few years before his trip,he bought this s13.

When he came back in France,he sold me the car.

It only run 17 000km O_o!

after a few kilometers, the turbo was out.

BTW,for the price i get it,I changed it.

Now,the engine is running in a street racer chassis(had an accident with, sold the engine, blablabla)

It's really how the previous owner took care of the car I believe in. My current DD is a 90 hatch with almost 400k miles on it. I bought it from the original owner who lived in Santa Barabara and worked in Santa Monica. Has about 4 inches of receipts from TO Nissan and drives/looks like it only has 50k on it. Still on the original engine/trans and drive like mint.

i'd feel like a dick beating on a sub 50k s13 around, but i still want to buy a couple of them and keep them till they're worth a hundred thousand dollars. (in like 130 years hahaha)

That's really neat that there are still a few very low mileage 240s out there. I'm an original owner of a 93 hatch and have just under 180K Kilometers which is about 111 K miles and i thought that was low. Still runs as good if not better than when i drove it new off the lot!

wow... I thought my 300K+ chassis was something. 400K+ is just insane. What kind of work has needed to be done to it in that time beside the normal fluid/filter/scheduled maintainance if any? I'd imagine it'd have to have had stuff like the alternator/water pump/etc. swapped within that time. Just curious what kind of money was spent keeping that thing running so well for so long.

I think ANY CAR can make more than what the speedo gives. just depends on how the owner takes care of it.

3-4K miles your typical oil changes
70K maybe do the cooling system
120K do the timing chain/belt
so on and so forth.

first owner of a 96 jetta that reached 350K. My dad was a Phlebotomist and would drive to fontana/LA/Santa barbara/oxnard on a daily. Then the tranny gave out @ 380K when he let his buddy who drives diesel for a living use it. I guess he was shifting gears with no clutch on the car as they do on the diesel.

As far as I can remember shifting through the Nissan receipts: water pump, alternator, starter, some bushings, thermostat 3 times. When I got it I just changed the radiator as it was partially clogged. I haven't tallied the total but probably half the cost of the original price of the car at least. :dead:

Negitive. show's the car was in an accident in 2002? you can see whoever/where ever it was fixed got a used bumper cause the paints chipping and is black underneath. the passenger fender and door have a little scuff. not a huge deal really. no other damage on the car. everything looks solid for the most part. we will see when i mess with it over winter.

i woulda liked a 91+ but i liked the low mileage aspect of this car.

congrats on the score flickitty. Reminds me of my old low mileage 91 had 19k on it when I bought it in 2001. To bad a drunk driver took it out when it was parked. Had 36k when it got wrecked.

We got the car pretty much sight unseen just some basic point and shoot pictures that were taken at night in a garage couldn't tell as much the paint color. these were taken with a Canon Rebal so it shows more. i did a little looking around everything is VERY straight. just looks like it was replaced. not to worried or concerned. car tracks very straight still.

98 S14 5sp. Bought it at 9,XXX now its about 10,700 within two months. Everything all original from the nissan belts to the tires. 2nd owner. I have autocheck/carfax, title, odo to prove it. Story was an old couple purchased it NEW in 98 and stored it away to be shown as a collectors 20 some years down the road, unfortunatly the old man's health took a turn for the worst and his wife couldnt take care of it anymore. So thats where i cam in lol.
