I want to say that the s14 ka's dont have a difference between zenki and kouki but im not 100% on that. I am however 100% that there is a difference between s13 and s14 ka's so im assuming they wouldnt make the zenki and kouki s14 engines different.

An easy way of telling if you have a 95-96 or 97-98 is look at the Intake manifold. Oviously the 95-96 is OBD1 so look at you intake mani and see if you have a shit load of vacuum lines and if you dont, then you are 95-96..Chances are you are OBD1 so 95-96 tho i wonder how diffrent it could be just by gaskets? Hopefully this makes sense lol >_<

haha hopefully that helped. So if it does have all those lines, then your motor was OBD2, and your KA is 97-98. Good luck!

96 motors have obd2 and all the vacuum lines like a 97 and 98 ka.. if you can open the valve cover up, look to see how many cam caps you have.. if you have 6 then you have a 95-96 engine, if you have 5 then you have a 97-98 engine..

i have a 95 and nissan gave me an entire gasket kit off of an s13 on accident...everything fit fine until i got to the head gasket. two bolts for the upper front cover didn't line up..no big deal. other than that it doesn't matter.
