I just did a ka24e swap to ka24de swap and the car cranks but will not stay.
one thing that i did notice is tht when I un plug the maf sensor it idle just fine but when the maf is pluged in it will not stay crank, you have to keep feeding it gas.

where I think I messed up: with the swap I didnt swap the T/body. and I have two vacum lines not hooked up.....

I changed the maf sensor today and I is still doing the samething.

to me it can be the maf sensor
t/body
fuel injectors
I could really use some input:bowdown:

what are the vacuum lines to? and you did change out the maf? cause when you unplug it and it runs fine that shows your mafs f'd up and did you do any wiring for the dohc cause i know the sohc and dohc mafs are different especially pigtail wise

I did redo the wirring for the swap, what I have is a ka form a 95, nd then I went out and bought a maf, engine harness, and distributer from a 92-93 dohc. the vacume lines come from the intake one goes into the intake, another was for the carbin canister and then that left me with one loose one. I might just have two fucked up maf sensors

Check the grounds for the maf, and i think with a 95 ka i a s13 you need the 95 ecu, not 100% on that but you might want to look into it.

Vacuum lines are most likely the problem. By not having them hooked up there is not sufficient vacuum and it will cause the car to stumble. Either plug them off or connect them. This will most likely fix the problem. Although the different maf might be the problem. look around and find out how to test the maf. I believe it would be testing the ohms. but i'm not sure how many ohms you need to be looking for.

^^Yea, you should at least have the larger vaccum tube hooked up. It feeds the AACV and IACV. Even when you pinch it off the car boggs way down alsmot till it will die.

yeah I mesed with the car yesterday at work, and it still do the samething it idles just fine with the maf sensonr not hooked up, two things that I have not tried is pluging the vacum lines, and I have not messed around with the idle control on the motor. Those are my next two steps in my project. Oh and Im on the verg of changing out the t/body.... Thnks for all the input guys....
