View Full Version : Oil Catch Can installed wrong?

I think I have my Oil Catch can hooked up wrong. After driving it for awhile, It started to dish out white Smoke out the exhaust really BAD.

I made a T out of the intake hose.

FAIL!

It looks like you have the second hose coming out of the catch can hooked up to the INTAKE MANIFOLD.

Which means you are pushing air BACK through the catch can into the crank case and head and shit.

YIKES!

You want that hose run to the AIR INTAKE (i.e. after the air filter but before the turbo inlet).

This way, a vacuum is always drawn on the catch can and head/crankcase, evacuating unwanted gases and whatnot.
