This takes the friggin cake. WTF is wrong with some people
you just have to read it to believe it.

I purposely DINGED another guys's car - E46Fanatics (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=801600)

Fcuk I finally caved. But before you lynch me and blast me to no end, hear me out.
So our 4some hit the links early in the morning. Our teetime was actually 7:15am. As Im always being careful of how and where I park my ride, I took one of the corner spots and positioned the driver side of the car very close to the line thereby leaving pllenty of room on passenger side. When we finished our round I see a miata parked very close to my driver side. I looked around the lot and there were around 50 vacant spots. Needless to say, this neanderthal miata driver was taunting me for being a smart ass parking very close to the line. At least that's how I assessed the situation. Pissed at this fcuking ashol for parking very close to me, I loaded up my golf gear, got inside the car, and slammed my door against his. I felt bad for myself for stooping this low. As for the miata driver. F him. Hopefully he learned a bitter lesson. No damage to my moulding

Asshole, totally uncalled for. Very disrespectful, if nothing is wrong with your car is all good. who the hell cares! for all he knows another car guy was try to hide his car from possible damage. Hope he gets caught some how.

do what I did....

less than a week after I got my 02wrx....I went car stuff buying and ended up in sams club parking lot right after lunch time on a thursday....I parked WAY-WAY the **** out in the middle of the almost deserted parking lot....went in and didnt get what I wanted---sold out.....and walked back out in ~10 minutes to find a freshly washed, still drpping wet silver chebby lumina parked so close to my drivers door that the mirrors were overlapped by 3-4"

the ass hole had done it ON PURPOSE.......there were NO OTHER vehicles within 100+ feet....I was pissed....just a bit......I got in the passengers side door and hadda pull forward and roll down my window to pull my mirror in to back out...there was an island curb on the passengers side that I had parked close to so I couldnt turn the wheel much to back out.

I backed out and and backed in next to his drivers door.....thinking of all the dastardly things I could do....and looked over at the BRAND NEW 'THE CLUB' that I had just bought at another store, and I put the gloves that I always have in any car I own....opened 'The Club' package....got outa my car and opened the luminas window with The Club and gave the lumina the brand new Club....right on his steering wheel http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I got back in my car and drove off

I used to valet for a very large hotel, It also had numerous ballrooms and conference rooms so events were usually taking place. The parking was very reasonable for the size of the hotel and not at all far from any of the entrances. We had a lot of about 200 spaces designated for our valet customers which was coned off and clearly marked, by clearly marked i mean signs on the cones and errrrthangggg. Despite the obviousness of the designation we always got five or six cars who thought they could just park in the valet lot. Every time this would happen i would park a car on either side of the unauthorized vehicle extremely close so that there was no way that they could open their doors more than six inches. That job blew and i was so bitter that i fucked with ignorant people. I'm starting to feel bad for myself while i am typing this but i really wonder how those people got in their cars.

I've seen my share of shit. As mentioned above, people kicking cars, keying, slashing tires, etc.

I always try my best to AVOID problems in a parking lot, fully knowing that I wouldn't be able to leave my car alone while I go about my business.

I've had douchebags park super close to me (on purpose). I get upset (just as anyone else would), but I never stoop to their level(s). I'll never do a single thing to someone's car/property that I wouldn't want happening to my own (Karma).

The subby story above, no damage was done to the car. Get your car out of there and move on with your life.

EDIT: I often times park as close to the front as possible, just in the event something does happen you can almost always have it on camera, or other people around you.

Yeah, exactly. I remember a few years back when I had my first S13, I got EXTREMELY upset when someone dinged my car. I probably would've killed somebody if I saw them put a scratch on it.

Last week when some chick slammed into my G20 head on, I was upset, but I realized that it's just a car. I can always replace it with another one (hell, a newer one at that).

If you feel differently you need to check your ethics and question your own morals.

Say you came into a parking lot and you parked next to the car way out there because you felt the same way. Though you were in a rush whipped into the slot and did not realize you had parked kinda close to the other guys car? That guy comes out and either A: dings your car or attacks your car.
You come back out, he is gone your car is damaged and you are pissed. Are you even going to realize you might have made a mistake? No.

Though boy you would be on here bitching and screaming how some asshole you parked next too fucked your car up.

Sorry guys but nothing justifies damaging another persons property. Pure and simple KARMA!!

Property can be fixed or replaced. That is what Insurance is for.

gahh i remember when i parked next to my instructors harley edition f150.. eventually later in the day he came over to me and accused me of dinging his truck because it had white scuffs on it where the ding happened. Pulled me out of class for it. He wanted me to pay for it! because i happen to be the only white car that parked next to him that day and he figured I probably did it in the morning.

In all reality, his dad came down and took the truck to go get some tires for him while he worked, so it could have been his dad. We pulled both cars out and parked next to each other again and determined that my car is just too low, the strike area of my door would be in a totally different spot.

That really pissed me off, me and him are cool now, but you really can't assume those things, esp when the person your accusing happens to be a car guy themselves, car guys take care of their cars, they wouldnt risk anything like that.

I don't have a nice car by any means. Or can it be considered in good condition, body wise. Although, I do understand people buying new cars, also maintaining there cars, and not wanting for some jackass to potentially cause damage. I can understand the GTR and the WRX story, even the EVO X. Those people have done enough to attain a nice vehicle and some foul comes along. They do something out of their way to prevent something. I witnessed some kid decide to act out his agression on somebody else's car down the street from my apartment . I don't know if the other person deserved anything or not, but that kid was in jail two days later because I made the phone call and was able to help identify him later.

I had a pretty fucked up situation myself.

Around my complex there is limited parking. So when my wife leaves for work, i park my 240 in an open spot so when she comes home she doesnt have to drive around or park far from our condo. Well I had her truck on signal to where my 240 was parked @. As i move the 240 out i saw a car cmin so i backed up all the way so theres no room to go around. As i hopped out my 240 and got into her truck to park it. That very same car cut me off in my truck and parked her shit on the spot. I got out and told her i was gonna park it there. She jst gave me a "assed out" looked and a shoulder shrug. @ this point i was furious! but jst went about my business and smoked a stoogie.

I sat there signalling for at least 5 minutes because the driver took forever to leave, and when they finally do leave, this other girl driver drives right in the spot. Did I mention she looked at me too before doing so?

because of that i was late to class waiting for another opening spot. moral of the story is, I keyed someones car for the first time. damn hyundai

so 2001 ish when Hondas were cool I owned a 93 Prelude, H22a, 17 eagle alloys blah blah

Working at the local walmart as a cart pusher/stock men, i walk over to my car which was off a ways and next to a curb and some big lifted Chevy truck parked so close to my car on the drivers door i had to go into the passenger. mind you i lived in a predominately hick town. well I moved my car than grabbed my friends who worked there too and got about 50-60 carts and went around his truck with them. We waited for him to come out, confronted him and said next time dont park soo close.
