Hey guys I was wondering if anyone in the New York area would help me out. I was trying to buy a clarion cd deck off ebay from a guy who had a lot of positive feedback. Unfortunately I trusted him and sent him a money order for $835. The day I sent it I found out 2 other guys had gotten defrauded by him and were trying to track him down. We only talked through email and he didn't give out his phone number but through some searching on ebay we found his phone number. We also think this address where we sent the money order is his actual address. I am all the way over in Hawaii so I can't really drive over there but I would really appreciate any help you guys could give. This is his info...
Justin Laparl (fake name used on ebay)
Wu Chen (I think this is his real name)he answered to this on his cell phone.
28 Henry Street #10(probably an apartment)
New York, NY 10002
cell phone #: 732-500-3772
email address:
[email protected]
If anyone can help me out please let me know asap. I'm trying to work with authorities to catch him but it would be great if someone could verify somehow that this is where he lives, or could help me out in any way. If you need to please contact me at
[email protected]
Thanks. I hate these kinds of people. Hopefully I can help stop him from doing this to someone else.

After I got my money back from an ebay fraud I was directed to report the fraud to the FBI (http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/cf1.asp) not sure what it can do for you but it can't hurt.

What kind of CD deck could be worth 835?
I would like to know what in the world could be worth half that much being nice CD decks and changers are 400 or less...New in Box at local retailers with no discount...
?
Glad you got your dough back and do report it...to save others..

Yeah, it's pretty expensive, but prolly one of those CD/DVD decks with or without the LCD display, 5in. I believe.
Top of the line alpine decks have an msrp approaching 1k. And thats just for the consumer level stuff. Some people like music :)

you didnt mention if he cashed the MO yet. If not goto the bank and put a stop on it immediatly. Otherwise, contact your bank about what you can do.
Now when I purchase things online from ebay, I buy a money order, put a stop on it. Send it to the guy and tell him there is a stop on the order, send the item. Then I just take the stop off when I recieve it.

Then you get negative feedback, also, I live in South Jersey, near the shore. The only cell phone numbers around ehre start with 1-609 or 1-856 not 772.
