yeah...just felt like making a thread here about that place...
that was my first time going to a 240 meet ever. it was pretty cool just chillin there and talking amongst fellow 180/240 owners. i was that guy with the totally stock looking zenki fastback with the fked up paint on the hood and hatch with the SR. if you saw that car..that's mine, but yah. feel free to post pics and thoughts here. peace

Hi. I will respond to this thread simply due to bordem and also since I attended the meet. Yeah the meet had a nice turnout. I was confused to who bought the s15, R33 GTS and R32. R33 GTS looks mighty strange I must say. Caught my eye in a wtf type of way. My car was obviously the one in my sig if you were curious. Nothing out of the ordinary or too special.

Too bad the bbq was kinda slow. Oh well. Word up to your moms dogs donkey. What up to teh Brain!

heh well sorry, i meant "when/where is this meet at" on the assumption that you guys meet regularly, as in when/where do you guys meet? if it was just last saturday morning then i guess, where was it at, curious to know where i can find other 240 owners meeting up.

RoNiN240sx: While 240sx meets happen pretty often on a small scale basis, the socal240sx.org bbq only takes place once a year. It's okay.. you can come next year!

Nitekids: Boooo you! *thumbs down* The bbq wasn't slow at all seeing as how there was only one grill and one cook. I think he did just fine.

Thank you to the cook! And thank you socal240sx.org!

the cook's name is Owen. i suggested we build a memorial for his courage (it was really hot out there, and he had to stand in front of the grill :( ) but no luck hehe......wait i think i got his name right haha

The 240SX community is nothing like it used to be. It used to be small, kickback, with people meeting eachother. The last few meets I've been to consisted of nothing other than newbies walking up with "where did you get that," as the first words that come out of their mouths. They are more concerned with getting a parts list rather than meeting the person behind the car.

Besides being a bit busy with work, I would have gone to the meet.. but I missed out I guess. I just wish the community wasnt so super-street ridden with all these new Civic-like mentalities.

I was there sporting the convertable(free food!!), ya my $1150 special :D anyone wants it I will sell it for 2k and yes I had to fix it.
anyways, ya Mike there were a lot of newbies doing the whats under the hood stare routine but a lot of us old guys were still chillin. Got to see a few people I have not seen in months. passed on the cafe . Next meet I should have the new project out and about.

I think you had em fooled.....Old_s13

Q?

Is your car a pre 89 or the second gen 89?

old_s13

Bill, my car is a 1990. I would never step into the EIGHTIES. :)

I like the name old_s13, people give me respect as if I am old. I am not old, I am medium age. Its not me, my car is the one that is old and decrepit. There are still WAY too many ladies in this world that need my lovin.

Matched some online names, with real names and faces
talked to a few oldies
picked up some brake lines
collect on some funds
then bounced
food didn't look appealing to me, had to go get some Fish Taco's at Rubio's :D
but overall, it sucked :p .. in a cool way
a lot of nice cars, i still got a long way to go with my project ..

ohh, i got to see the worst SR swap in history.. OHHH :coolugh:

That crop is really cool. Mines the burgundy that's cut in half by the far right picture.

I was there (half gold/half desert camo S13 coupe). I'll have some pics to post tomorrow as they are on a friend's CF card.
