I went searching for some hyper white headlight bulbs today and found out that my headlights are one with the bulb... Does anyone know how I'd be able to get a hold of brighter/whiter headlights?? Any help would be appreciated... Thanks

I have a 1990 Fastback w/ pop-up lights

Hyper white..

..we're still stuck in 1998.

We dont sell H4's anymore, not worth the effort. There are plenty of places selling knock-off grade 6054 headlamps with replaceable bulbs. Selling more expensive Hella lamps is not worth it when people dont understand the difference and end up buying "diamond cut" headlamps for $20 dollars. If someone is buying HYPER WHITE, they obviously dont know the differences.

Buyer beware.

The concepts are simple:

coated bulbs = garbage

What is a coated bulb? Anything that is blue or marketed as hyper white.

hid kits = garbage

if your headlamp assembly is designed for a halogen bulb, keep it that way. unless you take the time to modify internals, its useless. there are very very very few headlamps that can use both HID and halogen bulbs, and still they require SOME modification to emit that super clean lighting pattern.

s13 headlamp assemblies:
diamond cut, euro clear = crap
Hella ECE or DOT headlamps = good

its pretty complex, a lot of these concepts apply differently per car.. so its important to talk to someone knowledgeable with lighting when looking to upgrade. do the research, do it right, enjoy good lighting.. its as simple as that. i opened my site for people to use, if you are looking to upgrade your lights i am just a click away..

take it from an experienced (me)

I actualy have some diamond cut **** off of ebay, (xcheapest place to buy)

the lights are whiter/more silverish, but actually emit less light. believe it or not, and i also got some "xenon/krypton" **** off of there, it cost like 14 bux... they work , but they work crappy, the only one id reccomend, ( ONLY if u really want it, otherwise i wouldent recomend), is the BOSCH H4 conversion off of pdm-racing.com

then some PIAA headlamps,

what i really want now is some REAL HID ****, but until old_s13 makes one that i can afford, (not like i would spend 500$ on a light) im stikin with the ebay crap...

when the ebay crap goes out, im switchin to the bosch **** with normal crap (yellow ****), or maybe even ION thingy, (the more yellow ****)_

does anone notice when i type i type weird ha

Mike,
Goodlooking out. I appreciate the "barney style" explanation. I am not going to upgrade my lights (stock rocks) but just really like to be in the "know" when it comes to cars in general
Thanks,
Bakari- who can't afford track time and Mike's quality work

PIAA is not a leader in the lighting industry, they are just another maker of foglights and colored bulbs. Their products do nothing better than the remainder of the bulbs being sold, at fractions of the price. They are kind-of like monster cable.. exessively excessive, and masters of marketing.
