Long story short: Got some used tires that were messed up going on a reverse mount wheel, chunking ensued.
Not past the bead and no visible cord but still makes me nervous lookin at them.
Am I making a fuss over nothing or is it a legitimate concern? These would go on a DD on crappy new england roads.

I had a pair of tires that were like that. They leaked air almost immediately.
Definitely wouldn't drive on them.

I don't think those beads will seal.

No. Burnout tires.

burnout tires for sure. if you plan on mounting them on a rim that will stretch them even minimally, they will not hold air at all.

I had this problem on a pair of RT615s
They wont hold air, and they wont stretch all, but thats a given, I had them as a set of track spares so I just used some slime to seal up the bead and they where fine.
I wouldn't recommend driving very far on them though

I had tires just like that on my truck and they worked fine and held air,It could have been cause they were 10x wheels and 12.5 wide tires but they were fine.

Fair enough, good to hear that I am not crazy. I will sell them local as drift tires. I'm sure I can get someone to give me 50 bux for them.
Thanks for the input

I would make sure if you're selling them to state VERY clearly that you are accepting no liability for the future use of the tires. I personally wouldn't drive remotely aggressive on them, let alone go sliding in them... You don't need some one popping a bead off then coming back at you because they jacked their car and/or themselves up.
