hey i wanted to swap my zenki taillights with some kouki ones, but i have no idea where to find them, i've been lookin all over, anybody kno any good sites or shops? also, i can't decide if i wanna swap my headlights to the s15 or to the kouki's, mostly because of the s15's legality here in Cali, those headlights are pointed in the wrong direction since they're JDM right? thanks

i did google search, didn't find anything useful, and i did search the forum with the red button, guess i just didn't search well enough, and the jdm thing, headlights in japan point in the other direction cuz they drive on the opposite side of the road, so they'd blind oncoming traffic, err, that's what i've read. just making sure if the s15's do this too. well thanks newayz

s15 headlights = JDM
JDM headlights = point at on coming traffic

therefore

s15 headlights = point at on cming traffic.

yah yah yah ok, i know, somewhat of a stupid question, since s15 is jdm, but just making sure, "ask a dumb question and you may look like a fool, but it's the fool who doesn't ask the question" or something like that right? heh, ok i'll shut up now

Try ebay too - and misspell the word as many ways as you can (cuz ppl often misspell the names of the things they're selling) kookeee, koukii, kookui, etc. Sounds silly, but it works! Sylvia=Silvia=Sylvya on ebay

Good luck! And as far as the direction goes, I know that some manufacturers of so-called "Angel Eyes" have made them USA-compatable, so there must be someone out there that's taken that into consideration for yours.

Just incase the REST of the world cannot get those lights for you, we can. Its a shame parts like this are getting so played out, and by people who dont know much.. tisk tisk.

heh, i dunno if that comment was directed toward me but...if it was, allow me to defend myself. you're right, i don't know much about 240's. so i joined these forums to talk and search and learn, and maybe make some friends. often i've been shotdown for being a newbie which i admittingly deserved when i didn't search, but i'm just trying to find out about things i don't know. it's a shame to have such a nice ride and not know enough about it that's for sure, so i wanna learn more. and i know this forum isn't the only place i should look for info but i know i can get a lotta help here. yes, my previous car was a honda, and it was an integra, but i never had the urge to get gigantic rims or trendy body kits cuz i owned a honda, i simply put rims because i bent the originals in an accident. i like the 240, the style, the rwd, whether or not it is trendy. maybe i'd like to customize the look of my zenki 240 a little different, but it is that bad? i too have a prejudice against people who go way too far or put stupid things on their civics, or any other car for that matter. anyways, i'm sure this has been a big waste of space, as i'll probably get hella flamed for this, but just had to say something.

Nope, not at all.. you spoke your peace and made perfectly hood sense while doing that. Most NEW 240sx owners tend to be bandwagonning bastards.. its okay, I dont mind that Honda owners are moving onto NISSAN.. I really dont care about shifts like that. What DOES bother me is the attitude that some people bring with them.

If people were honest and up front, like yourself, everything would be good. When I was new, I didnt know jack shiet. I still dont know jack shiet, but atleast I know something after the 6 or 7 years I've owned my car. I know enough to where I do just as much work as most of the shops IN BUSINESS, doing motor swaps and electrical work, custom fabrications, etc. The difference between me and them is that I pride myself in doing a great job on my own car, and thats what makes an enthusiast.

There are lot of people in the community who dont have the opportunity to use the knowledge thats on this forums, or learn from other 240SX owners and enthusiasts. They dont have the tools, garage space, or skill to take on some of these crazy projects -- I can understand that, that is why places like Phase2 are in business.. to help those who cant do these things themselves.

The point is, join the community and enjoy meeting folks and learning. Just try not to be an arse and mod your car out without learning the pros and cons of each product and technology.
