So I'm sure most of you have stumbled accross my for sale thread and have seen my situation. I have never been more surprised by a community than what has happened in the past few days.

So I want to start a thread...for those that have a good heart. Tell us a story about how you went out of your way, for no reason other than to help an individual. I would like to keep this to complete strangers....

As it was a complete stranger that donated money towards my cause, and I will pass that on to another complete stranger in need once it arises.

It doesn't have to be just money. It can be as simple as...I had a client come in, they paid for a cage, and I went the extra step and built him a crash bar...or something.

Once I have a scenario, I will add the same. Lets hear some good deeds and pass it on.

i remember when i spent a couple nights staying at my freinds house helping him out with his datsun 510. he swaped a KA24 in it, but it was leaking coolant, so i removed the Intake Manifold off for him. found the leak. Also helped him remove his stock exhaust, (wich was a pain.) spent about 2 days trying to swap a rear brake set up. always staying at his house till 1am even though i gotta go to work at 6:10 am

but i had a lot of fun, and i learned something

I would always wake up and drive about 40 mins to my friends house early in the morning and wake up and help him work on his track car for the summer and then drive 40 mins back to my house and do this frequently through out the week.. I not only came over to chill but I went the extra mile of being a friend and would bring over food and help him out with his car.

i work at a home health agency for war veterans. i help complete strangers every day.

but here's a specific situation. i went out for a cruise with my friend one night, we just drove around. we were driving down one of the more ghetto streets of Vegas. As he was driving and talking, I could've sworn I saw an old man on a wheel chair stuck... I told my friend and he said he didn't notice. he asked if i wanted to turn around and i said "well, YEAH!" so we turned around. this was at like 2am in the morning (anyone would've felt a little skeptical)

Sure enough, his wheel chair was stuck. one side was off of the sidewalk ledge (not towards the street). there was an empty dirt filled lot and the sidewalk. his wheel chair was stuck, front wheels on the dirt, right back wheel in the air, and the left back wheel was stuck right on the edge of the ledge...

he was dirty, had a pee bag, pretty much a paraplegic... very very very old guy... he was pretty much half on, half off of his chair. he couldn't move a muscle except for a few of his fingers...

so i grabbed him and lifted him up onto his chair, pushed his chair onto the sidewalk, set his peebag straight, adjusted his arms and put his shoe back on. i was covered in dirt who knows what else LOL...

but that's my story.

oh, and my friend was just watching in awe while i was doing all this and i just dusted myself off and hopped right back into the truck. lol

^^^ amazing. That right there is what I was really looking for. I remember when I was a kid, everytime my mother saw a vehicle stranded with one or two people pushing it, all us boys always got out and helped move it. I would still do that to this day.

So there is a vehicle down the street from me. It's an old pickup. I see it there everynow and then, but everytime I see it in the morning, it's got a flat tire. So once I get back on my feet after this whole court thing, i'm going to buy this guy a tire, and pay for the installation, and have him go to the local tire shop and get this service done.

I obviously don't know the guy, but its a perfect stranger. And if a perfect stranger can help me, i'm going to go out of my way to help them.

I want to make it like the pay it forward thing....so I'm going to find three people to help. financially. since that is where a lot of people need help.

helping the homeless guy...that's amazing. i don't think I could have done that...i'm always wondering if they are gonna snap and bite the shit out of me. lol.

working on cars always has it's benefits. You learn something new almost everytime, and when you are the person that needs the car worked on, it's a fucking blessing having that extra hand. I remember swapping my transmission over at teddy's house, and no one would fucking help me lift the damn thing up....a day later, jason kim came over and showed me a trick....i'm pretty sure I can do it by myself now. lol...so thanks jason! lol

like i mentioned, i ALWAYS help complete strangers... i also helped these old people push their car all by myself... they were too old to push.. while people were driving past and honking since we were in the way... lol

i help old people cross the streets still, i help friends with motor swaps, help them clean up their shops, prep their cars for sema, do food runs and buy them snacks and stuff all the time. i wake up in the middle of the night to go help the homie's tow their bikes since i have a truck.... i dunno, i don't ever expect anything in return. but i do open up my eyes and accept my blessings and very thankful for every single blessing i receive.

I just happened to be cruising one night when i realize that theres this guy with an old te celica who had broken down in the middle of the intersection. Me feeling bad, I pull off at a gas station which was the next stop and I ran towards him and helped him pushed his car out of the way.

I am all for doing kind actions!
Basically do unto other what you would want them to do to you.

Had a similar situation as you, I saw a stalled car with a mexian lady in it everyone was honking and going around her and she was kinda freaked out, I put my s14 sideways blocking 2 lanes got out and pushed her car to the sidestreet. She was so thankfull and surprised.

I've stopped many times to help strangers. I feel like it's my obligation because we have all been there and thought about how wonderfull it would be if someone stopped and helped us....

I was on my way to buy a new motorcycle a few years back and saw a lady with a flat on the 15 southbound, so i stopped and changed it for her. Got it all done and she tried to give me a couple of bucks for the help, and i said no thank you it was my pleasure .
so i get to the dealership to buy the bike and the lady was there she was the general managers wife
got a great deal on that bike

Karma is everything!! lol

My biggest one was about a year ago. Was going home after closing the store. Winter, cold as a frozen hell with a good wind and snow falling. Pass by an on ramp with 2 people holding a small gas container. I stop give them a ride to the gas station. The guy for some reason didn't get in my car. I asked him to hop in. At the gas station they pop the surprise that they have no money. I fill up the little 2 gallon tank. Drive them to their stalled car on the interstate. The thing didn't fire up, because their battery was almost dead from their hazards being on and the cold. I drive to an open gas station. Pay for some overpriced small gauge jumper cables. Back to the stalled car. Flip my car on a snowy highway. Pass some volts/amps there way. Voila!!!!!! As we are parting ways. The "lady" thanked me many times and offered her "company" for the night. I thanked her but cowardly refused. Plus she was a hefty girl. Proceeded to go home and get smashed on jack and cola..........it was lonely..... I shoulda taken her up on the offer.

^ lol

i did something like that..

driving my moms camry. i see a Jetta on the side of the road. i pull over about 1/4 mile ahead of him....back up to him. he says he is outta deisel. i take a look, he has a parylazied kid in the back. his wife has a neck cast. and there are 2 more kids in the back. so he hops in my car and we drive for 30-40 min looking for a diesel gas station, and also for a auto zone or a pep boys so he can buy a filter. we finally get back to his car. problems starting it, so wife and kids got out of the car, and we had to push the car and start it like that. and he took off towards the gas station to get more deisel, and i gave his wife and 3 kids a ride towards the station.

turns out they were in a huge accident recently, and they were coming back from a doctors appiotment. felt kinda good helping them out.
