I have a freshly rebuilt kadet and it runs absolutely flawless but at idle the oil pressure seems to be a bit low and was wondering if this could just be due to my oil pressure sending unit be on the oil filter block which is relocated to the top near my rd strut tower.... ill get the exact oil pressure numbers when i get back in my car thanks guys

No, it shouldnt make much difference where you got the sensor hooked up. Question is how low exactly? Personally, anything less than 1 bar, specially on cold start, is bad juju.

when you rebuilt the engine, did you replace the plastic o-ring between the timing cover and the block?
We had some people on that didn't and oil starved the engine.
Also, did you change your oil after the rebuild's first heat cycle?
How about after the slow engine break in?

Once it is really warmed up the lowest it ever goes is 100kpa which i assume is 1 bar? At start up i have a ton of oil pressure so by the sounds of it i think im good to go... thanks guys

14.5 psi is fine at idle fully warm. Anything below 11 at idle is a concern. Oil pressure at approx. 3000 rpm or higher is typically more important than idle oil pressure providing its near 14psi.
