So I have ran both stock and NGK spark plug wires. A couple months ago though I installed some Magnecor KV85's because my NGK coil wire failed and I wanted an upgrade.

When I did a compression test today I noticed something that I have never seen before and at first scared me. All of my plugs have a brown ring around the seam between the upper insulator and the metal shell. I found that this is called a corona stain which is particles in the air getting stuck to the plug due to electrical stress. The more current to the plug the greater the chance of this happening.

My point being that the Magnecor KV85 wires definitely increased power to my plugs because never before have I had a corona stain. They also changed the side electrode color from a little brown patch to a nice light gray with brown so my burn is hotter/more complete. Gonna try increasing the gap now since I also have an MSD Blaster SS coil to justify it and the power is going all the way now.

one place where I found this info(straight from Denso at this particular link):
