well...........I am officially the VERY proud new owner for a 1996 240sx SE! Fully equipped with all options including anti-lock brakes and (with almost 90% certainty.....exact certainty will soon be determined :p ) a limited slip differential, and just over 63,000 miles! All for the INCREDIBLY reasonable price of $7350. Its maroon in color as the pics will show, and in absolutely immaculate condition; not even the leather is showing wear. The front is a little dirty from the 250 mile trek home it had to make (I live in Seattle, WA and I drove it home from Salem, Oregon last night :) ) but within the first hour of buying it I must have gotten at least 4 or 5 compliments. I had to take it to America's tire to have new tires put on (the back tires were SHOT, and the front ones were so old they were beginning to crack) and when they pulled the ORIGINAL tires (yes, original to the car) off of the factory chrome rims, all of the chrome on the inside was peeling, BADLY. Since it was causing the air in the tires to leak.....I picked up a nice lookin pair of enkei's while I was there and had them put those on insead ( its first modification ever! hahaha). While I was there the guys couldn't stop gawking at what a clean 240 it was, and were impressed with its condition, which is always a nice thing to hear when you just buy a car!
The only thing it needs now is to have its rotors machined, they're pretty warped. But all in all, I couldnt be more impressed with the car.........I LOVE driving it.
Well......here are the pictures! You'll have to excuse the poor quality, its a POS old digital camera that doesn't take pictures centered and doesn't properly judge how close you are, so its hard to get a decent shot.....sometime soon I'll take some REAL pictures :) *sigh* I'm so glad its mine :D

well if you're ever in the area and you want to buy a car, go to ROBERSON MOTORS! I would without a doubt give them my business again, and refer anyone I can over there- that had to be the best car buying experience anyone could ever hope for. They were wonderful- they exceeded my expecations, with their service and with the quality of the car.

First thing I look at on the 95-96 240sx's is how clear the headlight plastic is...and yours look excellent. Wow...nice leather seats too!!! Nothing is hotter than a girl who drives a 5 speed RWD car.
congrats,

i think THINK i have some 95/6 SE rotors lying around..nto sure on their condition. if yours are beyond repair or short on the $$ for new ones, i can send you these up if you pay shipping..i dont want anything for them. i have to find out where they are though, not sure if still have them...

yes 7350 with bad tires and rotors....the rotors are just annoying, and about the only thing wrong with the car, not a safety issue, and 7350 left enough room with the tires to just bring it up to a fair blue book/nada price. With such low miles the cars value really increses. The rim's were something I couldnt avoid- there was no way for either party to know that they were in such bad shape underneath- oh well though, the car was more than worth it.
dousan- thanks for checking for me! I'm gunna try to have them done sometime soon so I will let you know if they're totally shot or not :) they should just need to be machined

great car and welcome to the 240 family. I know it is early and it is best to drive the car for awhile, but what are your plans in the future for it?

Congrats on your new car. I used to live in bellevue and i found my car through the classified ads which said a 96 240sx base 5sp 30000 miles red! Turns out it was a maroon color like yours LOL i was shocked cause i was expecting the real bright red rather than the maroon. But i knew that its a 240 so I soon bought it for 8900 which is not too bad for a car that is in such good condition. But my car smelled and looked brand new like its never been driven due to the fact that a mom was driving it. Have fun with your car!

Awww.... You should have stopped by and shown me your car.
I'm right between I5 and 205 in Vancouver.
:(
Its hard to find a 240 around here for a good price.
I got ripped on mine.. You got a hella deal compared to me.
Maybe I should take a drive up! :P

Hey, nice car! Zenki's rock!
Heh, great deal too. But, just to show you up...I bought my black Zenki SE about 3 weeks ago, it too had 63,000 miles on it. And my baby is FULLY loaded. She is an exact copy of yours, minus the wood trim  and maroon color. When I bought mine, I had to get my rotors machined and rear tires replaced as well...however...I only payed $6,500 (praise the lord for auctions)
I hope you take good care of her. Good to see another 240sx in the hands of an enthusiast.

wow man.....you got a STEAL! auctions can be great, especially if you have good connections or the ability to work on your own car, etc. I have the misfortune of having to deal with parents, not a lot of money, needing reliability, etc, so I had to know what I was getting into, but I must say it was well worth the extra thousand :) Black was the color was hoping to wind up in.....but i simply couldnt pass up such a prestine car- i never would have found another one that could come close. The wood trim is alright looking. Its pretty obvious the woman who owned it before me though it would look "classy" and put it on there....i'm not a big fan of it, so one day it will get replaced :) but for now its juuuuuuust fine :p

i'm sure I'll understand that comment better later.....as far as the rims go though, it really wasnt much of a choice: i got the simplest looking rims I could from the tire place I was at: it was getting late, i was still 4 and a half hour from home, and I wanted to get there safely......rather than risk it, my bf volunteered to buy them for me :) we got a good price, and they look good enough....so until i'm ready for something crazy....you know, to compliment an sr20det swap......these will do :p

Hey there Miss Indecisive, Congrats on the car purchase, I live in Sammamish, good to see another local 240 Zenki driver out there. I also just recently bought a 96 240SX SE, 5sp, blk on blk, lthr...same as your interior..minus the wood grain ;) though I have just a tiny area of wear on my drivers seat..and a few more dings than I thought there were..dang it..had it shipped from Oklahoma..mine is loaded as well with abs/lsd pkg. Well..enough about my car (unless you wanna see a pic of it..lol). The reason I am writing you is there is a way you can find out for 100% about the lsd is to check you vehicle model number (not the vin) here are the instructions
S14: Checking for LSD using Car's Model number
Find the car's identification plate on the firewall, passenger side.
Check digit 18 in the model # (not the VIN!).
For Feb '94 - July '95: A, C, or E, = LSD
F, or "-" = NO LSD
For July '95 - July '96: A, C, or F = LSD
B, D, or "-" = NO LSD
Congrats again and good luck with your ride, will be keeping my eye out for you when tooling around.
Also, check out www.northwestnissans.com , this is a good local community based Nissan forum

w00t! Digit 18 (the last one in the model number) is a C, and it was manufacture in february of 96! So I got me limited slip!! :) saahhhh-weet!
I'll be looking for you too, right now (and a good majority of the time haha) I am over at my BF's apartment here on the sammamish plateau.....he lives in the Saffron apartments....you know where those are? Hope I see you around sometime! Thanks for the info on the LSD :)

those are some clean asss headlights HAHAHAHA! oh yea..next time u post pics..blur the plates..its juss something people do
Miss Indecisive
08-22-2003, 08:17 PM
i know they do, just to avoid anyone doing anything with the information......but guess what......they're oregon plates, and i live in washington......soon they wont be on the car anymore, so I wasn't really too concerned with blurring the plate :)

cool about the lsd, if you visit the plateau alot then I'm sure we'll cross paths eventually. Is the Saffron by DC's Steakhouse?...if so I am about 1-2 blocks from your bf's place...small world lol

yup! in the other building, but one of them is on top of DC's steak house :) mmmm good food! hahaha, now you got me craving it!
It is a small world....you'll probably see my 240 parked in the little covered "guest" parking area under DC's if you're driving by....it is indeed a small world :)
