so i blew up my old ka24e engine so i put in a new one in and it did not work right

so i had a mechanic look at my car he ran a fuel pressure test it was too high and some electrical test......

so what it came down to is that my car has too much fuel going to it runs rich the pressure is too high what could it be?

if we pull wires from the fuel ejectors or the spark plugs the car still runs the same no change?

he dont know whats wrong with it so im stuck now.... so its running rich black smoke out of the exhaust...

if we cut the pressure down by squeezing the fuel line it runs right. any one think they know any thing it might be? any one ever have a similar problem? let me know please thanks.

it is a different engine and the last one did not do this.

So if it's high pressure, why didn't the mechanic check the fuel pressure regulator?

Ya changing the FPR shouldnt be to hard give it a shot and if it works never ever ever go back to that mechanic.

And please answer my previous question about the cylinders. If you pull the wires or injector harness for each cylinder and nothing changes i want to know how the motor was even running for you to preform this test if all cylinders were misfiring.........

Did you buy a new fpr and from were?
So what cylinder injector are you diconnecting when the engine shakes, do all of them cause the engine to shake when disconnected?

Does the engine shake when the plugs are pulled, if yes then which cylinders?

this is starting to stump me....

make sure the FPR vacuum line is hooked up to a vacuum source. A friend of mine hooked his up wrong on his SR and it did the same thing.

Also, hook a vacuum pump up to the FPR and make sure it holds a vacuum and see if the condition changes when you hook vacuum up to it.

ok ill try that thanks.. i just learned how to read ecu codes and it gave me codes 12 and 41 im not quite sure what 41 air temperature circuit is but 12 is the mass air flow sensor and i unplugged it and the 240 ran differently so i just need to see if its that or the wiring ill let you all know.
thanks

MAF's go out on pretty much every 240. Get new MAF, or try cleaning your current one. Sounds like the fuel/air ratio is way off because the MAF isn't reading right.
