I rolled mine by beating on them repeatedly with a hammer and they look fine (of course this was before it was painted).
The basebally bat actually works really well, but I didn't have one when it was time to roll mine.

Just cause its a fender roller that looks simple to use doesnt mean it really is easy.....takes alot of time and patience to use this thing.....heat up fenders, roll, heat up fender, roll, do it with equal precision, etc....dont think its easy to use...
i had this tool for a week and roleld aquite a few of my friends fenders, it worked pretty well when used correctly, but really does beat you up....it's a very cheap alternative to pulling fenders or widebody, fender flares etc, and gets the job done.....thats what alot of guys in Germany use to "pull" their fenders, but keep in mind you cant pull too far on "stock" fenders, usually around 15mm-25mm or so which is farily enough......after that point, the metal fenders do get kind of flimsy and could only go so far...then thats when you have to actually "pull", weld, add fender flares etc, if you wanted wider than that....i went through these processes several times on my car and friends cars...

This is truly going to revolutionize fender rolling! [/B]
they have been for many years in Germany and Japan....
this guy patented the fender rolling machine in Germany a few years ago and made a ton of money off of them....a few years ago, about 5-7 years ago they used to be about $600-750 for one!
my friend was lucky enough to go to Germany and pick one up for a couple hundred and bring it back here a couple years ago....
its not exactly new, just very very hard to get a hold of until recently

so you can pull fenders w/that thing??
bobmeindertsma
08-21-2003, 12:37 AM
so does it actually flare out your fenders
so that your monster 10" tires dont rub
against the newly fabricated fender?
just want to clarify
Setup shop at D1 and rake it in :)

Whoah, thousands of guys have been doing it ghetto for years- thank you Dousan for showing us the correct non-ghetto way! :D
This is truly going to revolutionize fender rolling!
edit: where do I buy one again? hehe:D
some people like to roll their blunts by hand, some like to roll them with a machine.. lets just remember one thing, I'll roll ALL you bitches up in my wraps and SMOKE EVERY LAST ONE OF YA!'
me? I havent decided.. but I can tell you I dont roll my blunts with a baseball bat, because that shiet is ghetto.
i think it comes down to SKILL, it doesnt matter if you have a baseball bat or a rolling "machine" (yeah whatever, that **** is no machine, its just a bolted down roller).. it all comes down to having that "tender touch" .. oh yes, and i do have that tender touch.
just remember folks, you have to play ruff to get the muff..

thats weird that this was posted about the fender rolling. I was just kicking it with my friends today, and I guess they found out that one of the Kragens is getting a hold of that fender roller, plus they are renting it, so we're going to have a fender rolling party. Yeah, get drunk and roll a bunch of fenders. Will prove interesting, I'll post pics when we're done. We're going to see how far we can roll my friend's mom's civic.:axe:

Ya...I totally agree! That is THE WORST, when someone is always looking at how your working on their car. That is why I refuse to work on anybodies car, even if it's a friend or even a close friend. It makes it worse when it's a friend cuz it's harder to be a dick about the situation. I have a lot of friends, and none(and I mean NONE) of them know how to work on cars, but some of them have "lowered racer imports" and they always see me wrenching on my car and ask me to install sh*t for them..I've done it a few times in the past, and now I gotta refuse. Especially coilovers on friends cars,...stop asking me to adjust your coilovers!!!! I show them and teach them and they are retarded and don't wanna learn I guess! Fuk*n retards...don't fix up your ghey car if you can't do a damn thing to it yourself!

no because super flush is supre low too (car ride height) so when your suspension compresses...bam!!!! your wheel/tire hits the fender

i found out, if your rear alignment is out its SO MUCH more difficult to do.. :(

AWESOME! So you can do the pulling out of the fender thing we talked about! Sweeeeeeet!! Its really ony important for me to have that in the rear because theres not as much adjustability there for me (No RUCA) and also that WILL clear the 15x7 0 offset. The better you get at it, th eeasier and better it will be too! Yes. This is good.
Oh,and I geuss I should get the rear aligned before hand eh?
Dousan_PG
08-25-2003, 12:39 PM
ya for me, to pull it it needs to be aligned. im no expert at this. if the toe is all wacky the flare out wont be as even (judge by eye, which isnt as accurate. :(
that's why mineis pretty even. i mgith pull it more i migth not. waiting for new wheels..blah blah

Dousan_PG
08-25-2003, 12:44 PM
sheeet man, that would take me all day but ya should be doable. jsut takes a lot of time
i found f the front fenders
get wide replacments. front rolling is a joke. the metal is so thin its hard to get it like the back. and u cant really pulli t. stock is already kinda 'flared' out
the metal is so thin. i'd hate to roll front s13..its thinner then 240sx
JasonNagra
08-25-2003, 12:48 PM
So the fronts are a waste of time to roll? Well I would just liked em pulled out to the max. Also the S13 is thinner than 240, u mean S14? I really dont want to do body work lik that...
Im really glad that you can do it in the rear, that will look awesome.

Dousan.
Thats what we're sayin, maybe if the roller goes to an NC buddy of yours, we can maybe coordinate a friendly meet up on the weekend and roll some fenders. I'd be willing to put in a few dollars.

My car: 16x8 +30
Lisa's car: 17x7 +35 front, +32 rear. (NOT MY CHOICE OF RIMS!)
No rubbing yet (other than fender liner). edit: sidenote from a few months later - I was actually experiencing alot more rubbing than just fender liner. Fender, framerail and upper seam weld were all rubbing! Some people make preparations for what they plan to do instead of just going into things unprepared. :eek3:

Oh okay. Just curious. What do you mean in mind for wheels?

to start with, at LEAST R33 GT-Rs. I wouldn't mind a set of Regamaster Evos 17x9 (but in black).... I'd like a set of R34 GT-Rs, but maybe i'll settle for the 'Grenade' knockoff. There are a few other kinds of wheels on my list (Enkei NTO3RR, Prodrive GC-01, Nismo GT-4) basically all ~9in wide and 17or 18in. diameter. All GT-R offsets.
Now, the wheels i get will depend solely on what i can find and buy while i'm in Japan.
