Hey Guys,
What size head gasket is recommended for a 9:1 piston looking to gain between 350-400 hp?
Also, with that horse power target what is recommended for internals besides rods pistons and cams?

You should be ok with pistons and rods upgrade for 350-400 range as long as they are assembled correctly by a professional and to spec! Make sure to not skimp out and upgrade your main and head bolts, and especially a good set of main and rod bearings (installed correctly!!!).
For the head gasket size, ask your machine shop or whoever is building the motor. It depends on how much was decked off the head and short block to go with the piston compression ratio.
Please have a good shop do these steps!!!

Thanks for the feedback! What about valves and retainers? Cams? Also the block is a fully stock sr20de so in regards to the head gasket could I not just run a 1,1 mm head gasket?

Go stock rebuild until you shoot for over 400. Stock sr can hold 400 all day long with a good tune

Anything you upgrade on the head will be beneficial!
If you have the budget for bigger valves, porting, and solid lifters then go all out on the head! You don't need to but the more the merrier.
At least get spring and retainers kit, cams, and rocker arm stoppers to go with the head gasket!
I think 1.1mm is a bit too big but too get the optimum results use what the shop recommends with those piston ratios. The head and block should be decked regardless if you're doing rods and pistons!

People say this all the time but 400 on a stock SR is very iffy!!! Something will go wrong eventually and fast!

Wow! I made 310 on my previous SR @ 1 bar on dynapack! With mild head stuff and a 2871r!
