i do not have the luxury with this house. ive been working outside right on the street for the past 8 months. that's in the northwest as well. rain rain some more rain and then some. luckily im moving next week and have a full garage to myself. i think?..

anddd edit- is it just me? i am rarely motivated to work on my car anymore now that i have been doing it outside. it's all a big hassle, as I have to carry all the tools and the stupid floor jack to the street, all while the neighbor across the street complains im being too loud when it's 2 pm on a saturday... all in all while it's raining. lovelyy

I have (16) 8ft. T8 fixtures... which use (4) 4ft. bulbs per fixture. So (64) 4ft. bulbs in a 50x60 garage.

I love these kinds of threads. They have one over on my350z that really inspired me to remodel my garage.

No pics yet, but I'll be sure to post them up once we finish up.

Going to be putting up drywall on the entire thing and building new cabinets similar to these:

ive gotta take a picture of mine since i just re-did all of it, i live on the east coast on a 7 acre horse farm the main house has a 2 car garage that my motorcycle is in but down the hill where the stables are there is a 4 car garage with 3 usable bays (one had filters and piping for the pool) but i just cleaned out the other three and made a propper workshop too bad my friends saw it as an opportunity to use it for storage for their cars.

i'm sure it's not that hard. look at the holes that mount the seat to the bracket....see where the holes are located on the bracket. do whatever custom-ghetto fab work u need to , to make something work.

^ yeah not so easy... The problem is that the garage is just too close to the main driveway (not my build decision) and they just wanted to "blend" it as easily as they could. I would need to bring the entire level of the driveway up. If I tried to "smooth" it out, it would inevitably break up as it tapers out; not to mention I would lose part of my driveway...

How big is your garage?

I don't really know... Two car garage w/ single door and about 3' on each side of the door for extra storage / space for work benches. I'd guess somewhere in the 21' deep 24' wide range.

Driveway entrance is rather weak further down, but not as bad as others in this thread. I just have to take the part where a sidewalk might have been at an angle so that I don't scrape the stupid 3'' HKS exhaust.

They're made by Snaplock. They call it RaceDeck and it's pretty expensive. Epoxy is way way cheaper.
But if I could afford the tiles I would totally get them.

Fairly big 2 car garage (more like 2 1/2 or something, hah). We have a pool table on the other side, but should be getting rid of that pretty soon. Finally park two cars inside. Something we have never been able to do in the 18+ years we've been here.

Not necessarily. I mean, there are a lot of higher paying jobs here in CA, but the amount of people applying for said jobs is ridiculous. I remember trying to get a bank teller job a few years ago (shit pay, just wanting to get my foot in the door somewhere and work my way up). There were 15 other people there for the exact same job. I was the youngest (18-19?). The oldest being some dude in his mid 50's with college degrees and tons of experience in sales. Wasn't surprised when I didn't get a call back.

It has gotten a lot better within the last two years or so, but still. Entry level positions are all you're going to get unless you know someone or have a useful college degree. That was the only way I managed to get a claims processing job paying $20/hr full time. My aunt was the manager of an office building in Downtown LA. Everything went down the drain due to the economy, company decided not to renew our contract, and hundreds of people lost their jobs with said company (including my aunt). She now works for another healthcare provider as a manager and am hoping I can get in there. She also started at the bottom and worked her way up. It also helps that she does real estate on her free time (buying and flipping properties).

2 bed, 1 bath houses in CA going for $200-250k when you can buy a 5 bed, 3 bath house in AZ/TX for under $200k.
