ok so my buddy and i are building his KA-t in his s13...we got a s14 wiring harness. The harness's maf wire was cut so we were planning on wiring in the N62. but other than that my real question is how do i wire in this crank shaft sensor? what will happen if i dont wire it in? i heard it will just throw a CEL. sorry for being vague. i hope someone can help.

The MAF signal and signal ground wires should be extended with shielded wire, as they are in the OEM harness. Pretty straight forward, diagrams for N62 MAF wiring are all over the place.
If your S14 harness is indeed OBD2, I assume you're using the OBD2 ECU since it's connector is different than a OBD1 S13/S14 ECU connector. If you have the sensor, drill a hole in the top of the bellhousing and get the sensor close to the flywheel - it's a rudimentary Hall-effect magnetic sensor that just needs to sense the flywheel teeth moving.
If you don't have the sensor, don't worry about it, tuck the wires away, and you'll have a CEL. Engine will not run in limp mode, you'll be fine.
