I saw my old 240 up for sale on craigslist and was rather disgusted, but it made me wonder if anyone else has found their old cars for sale or around town?

i actually keep in contact with the seller of my s13 .. i bought it 2 years ago and we talk every once and awhile on myspace.. he seems pretty proud that the car is in my hands because he was broke and couldnt afford to do anything to it..

my old s13 ended up on craigslist.. the kouki tail lights and rear spoiler where gone, the tein coilovers where swapped out for some other junk. and RHD swapped with RB. I was kind of disappointing. But I know it was the same way when JTP *former owner* sees my Rx7 lol (probably thinks wtf did you do to it? lol

My old 190e , the guy I sold it to, sold it on ebay, than it was shipped to florida, where the current owner is doing megasquirt and ITB swap to it.

My brother sold his K's Silvia almost 3 years ago. Then the owner after that let someone else drive it...into the side of a liquor store (Can anyone guess what was involved LOLOL). Then someone else bought it and fixed it.


Here was the car way back, it was one of the nicer K's I've seen (low 70k's or about 45k miles on car). Despite this my brother didn't treat it very well at all:

I saw my old z32 in a junkyard stripped and rusty, some kid in town has the black hatch from it on his white 300zx..

My last 2 s13's were rotted so I Sawzalled them into trucks and smashed into stuff in the woods before junking them :-)

My first car / 89 civic si is a track only auto-x beast now.. Glad to know it's in good hands..

My first truck was donated to charity after having owned it for 5 years...tax write-off. :)

Fast forward two years, it showed up on a military base that my dad started working at and it was for sale.

I paid $750 for it when it was actually REALLY nice (bought from original owner when I was 15) and it was for sale on the base for $1500 I think! lol

na, if i ever found my old s14 (Bella) i would proceed to beat the shit out of whoever was driving it with the 1/2 inch breaker bar i keep under my seat in my current s14 (Verde).

on CL for 7,000 dollars more then I sold it to him for.




Bought it back 4 months after for $2,000. The one vehicle I just can't let go..sigh*

I never saw my first 240 again after I sent the shell off to the crusher.

My old hand me down accord though... That was bought by dad's GF and I see the poor ways that car is treated all the time. Shocks are rusted through, brakes aren't changed, lug nuts magically become not tight, its a dump inside the car, and at one point she was backing out of her garage with the door open and fucked up the drivers door on the garage. Makes me cringe I tell you, but at least that old car will finally get to die after she's done with it.

The dude that sold me my 240 actually came back and stole it.
Five years later, in a city 120 miles away.

Full story quoted from a few years back;

"So, Im sitting at a friends apartment at school (ISU in Bloomington/Normal) drinking some Private Stock. We notice the bottles about gone, so I decide to have my sober girl drive me up to the liquor store. I pick up a case for the late night, and head back to her apartment a few blocks away. Ive been keeping my 240sx hatch down here for a few weeks since she has a safe parking spot, and have only worried about people stealing my $50 head unit; BIG DEAL....riiiiggghhhhttt.

Im about a block away from her place and notice a lowered car with HID's directed right at us. "Nice headlights" runs through my drunkass head. Upon closer inspection, it looks like a 240sx. Wait, it looks like -MY- 240sx. Uhhhohhhh, we better take a right and follow this guy.

So, we pull up next to the guy driving -MY- car at a stoplight. Upon eye contact with the dude, he immediately starts jolting his head around and looking nervous. I immediately jump on my celly with 911 and tell them that Im next to my car which is being stolen at the moment. I also tell them that a cop car is at the same intersection opposite me, but have yet to figure out who the hell is driving my car. After the light turns green, we follow the dude who is obviously up to something.

We get behind him, and he takes his first right into a bar parking lot. We follow and my girl blocks him into the parking spot. I jump out and run to hold his door shut. I ended up struggling with him still in the car for 30-40 seconds, but he eventualy got the car door open. I instantly threw the dude into a headlock and tried to restarin him, all while being on the phone with 911.

He gets away, starts jogging, but Im ****ing sprinting. I catch up to him within 15 seconds, but its too late. About 6 squad cars come blazing up and the cops jump out, guns drawn. Its over... FINALLY. As I soon realize, my shock is far from over. After apprehending the suspenct, they bring me over his liscence. To my surprise, I read Jordan Smith. I scream, quoted, "THATS THE MOTHER ****ER I BOUGHT MY CAR FROM!!!!" It took a few officers to restrain me, I wanted that dudes head.

Come to find out, he was in possession of the same key he sold the car to me with FOUR AND A HALF YEARS AGO!!! I was given custody of the car completely unharmed. He ended up in jail with Felony possession of a stolen vehicle, Felony evading arrest, and Misdemeanor possession of burglary tools (leather gloves, stolen key, screw driver)."

my friend traded his fairly mint 400+hp '90 awd talon to some guy in orlando for an '02 Yamaha R1. a couple weeks later i was messing around on craigslist in one of my classes and i found his car, with a poorly done flat black paint job, interior basically trashed, red neons added and listed for $3000 more lol. he described the turbo flutter the car had, as a "super rare jdm bov"

I sold my old integra to my Ex's friend I sold it to him mint condition with a shit load of jdm parts on it!. I recently saw it two weeks ago at School it still has a lot of the parts i originally had on it but the paint went to crap it's crashed from the passenger and driver side. The windshield is cracked. The GSR Rims are all curb rashed. I felt bad after seeing it in that condition. FML!!!! So much love went into that car.

My old muscle car 1971 LeMans GTO is now a drag car, the guy I sold it to was really into muscle cars and drag racing I've only it seen once after I sold I was glad to see it still had my SLAYER!!! Decal in the back :-D . When I had it, it had 350 motor, 450 Turbo tranny, Edelbrock carbs, and Cherry bombs.

My 1991 Acura Legend is totalled. a dumb 17 yr old girl that took a red light and smashed into it. Junked it a week later.

the guy i sold it to had "BIG PLANS", then when he sold it he lied to me and said he totaled it, i guess to save face. but now i see it every once in a while looking more haggard than ever. makes me a little sad to watch it rot away.
