Hey guys, just curious to know if it's fine to run my stock SR @ 11.5psi. I do remember reading that the stock SR is 7psi UNLESS you have the selenoid connected in which it would boost it up to 11.5psi.
I don't have the selenoid, but i do have a T28 HKS Adjustable actuator set @ 11.5psi. I'm pretty much running a stock setup so i would greatly appreciate any imput on this.
S14 SR20DET
HKS T28 Actuator @ 11.5psi
Intake
FMIC w/ HKS Bov
Walbro 255 fuel pump
300zx TT fuel filter
Thanks for the imput.

I would say yes it is fine to run 12 PSI ..but not higher without other supporting mods..im no expert though.
right now im running my T28 with roughly same mods as you only bigger injectors and its fine.

My input would be to hit the search button or google. This isn't the first time this has been covered.

So you're running at 12psi on your setup? I don't plan to exceed 11.5 nor do I plan to upgrade my motor at all. Just would like to safely run it at that desired psi.

14 psi is about the max I'll suggest...around that range you start seeing the MAF/Injectors/Pump all start maxing out to the point of unsafe. I'd say keep it at 12ish PSI by redline and you'll be ok.

i was running 12lbs no problem with an fmic w/ hks, intake, and walbro with no problems at all. i was told i could run up to 15 on the t25 by the guy who tuned me at ams racing but i requested 12 for reliability. still made 235hp/240tq

How did you get it tuned?
What are you using for tuning? Pretty much stock setup you have right?

Trust me when I say, all of the stock junk maxes out if you're seeing 14psi at redline. I've logged countless cars.
'Runs good' does not mean runs well. Ragged edge isn't worth the risk!

I'm pretty sure I'm seeing 11.5 at redline. Is it still not worth the risk?

I'm pretty sure I'm seeing 11.5 at redline. Is it still not worth the risk?
11.5 isn't so much the issue (AFR i assume)
It's the fact that your injectors are almost at 100% Duty Cycle, your MAF is at 5v, and the stock fuel pump is almost at capacity.
Could the car last at that rate? Certainly...but let it be known there are easily more SR"s blown up with stock setups and big boost, then guys who fix the issues and run even more power. Just something to think about.
Remember at the end of the day you're not going to be winning any medals or trophies from Nissan or your friends for that extra 10-15 whp you're trying to maintain. Keep it safe and keep it fun.

Don't forget the ceramic blades of little T25s start to fly apart past 14lbs, haha.
